Two more import players will bring the squad to 19/23. Probably looking at an additional 3 Kiwi/Australian players to meet league requirements of squad size and cap spend. No real way to predict the imports, but there's really only a small list of local players that could be a genuine option.
In terms of Aussie players, it would surely have to be dipping into the NPL. There are barely any pro players left without a club, best of the bunch would be Aryn Williams and Chris Herd who have just finished stints in the Indian league after not so convincing A-League seasons, so that sums that up.
Uffie said a few weeks ago we were talking to a couple of Kiwi players overseas. There aren't many of them, so surely it we've been in contact with at least one of these players:Elliot Collier, Clayton Lewis, Nikko Boxall, Ryan de Vries, Marco Rojas, Jeremy Brockie, Decklan Wynne, Bill Tuiloma, James Musa. You'd have to say Rojas and Tuiloma would be pretty unlikely to come to the nix, but I'd be interested in any of those coming to Wellington except Brockie.
