Victory also need to get rid of one of their import players to make it happen, and we don't.

I find it weird that victory are keen. They have a stacked front 3 so marco wouldn't fix their problems

Not sure about that. These front three do not seem to be doing that well. Losing Kosta was likely one of the reasons for their lacklustre performance this season. Would give Toivonen a better strike partner.  However, I agree with El Grap that their visa quota is full.

And either way Wikipedia lists him with the #15 WPX jersey.  Replacement for Fenton???

Ok, so changing the topic to Libby and rumors (which are just those of course) of a possible departure during the current transfer window.

A few days ago someone had posted a screenshot of Libby's agent saying something to the tune of "enjoy him while you can" - I can't find that post - can someone help please?

In the meantime, I did a big of digging. According to Transfermarkt, Libby's interests are represented by AP Sports Management.

Interestingly, they only appear to have a handful of players signed, none of whom is playing anywhere near where Libby is aspiring to go.

Their Facebook page hasn't been updated in a year and a half (every post is about Giancarlo Gallifuoco and his time in Serie C with Rieti) and the website is not active.

Gallifuoco is now with a different agency - so I'm wondering if AP is no more and each agent went out on his own.

I'd like to research Libby's agent, so if you have a name, please let me know.

Very bored at work so please help!!!

I don't care if it makes sense or not - I'd love to see Rojas back at the Nix; I know it won't happen, but a man can dream.

Ok, so John Grimaud appears to be the Managing Director of Proactive Sports Management Australia.

Their Transfermarkt page shows they have more players than AP, but again nothing really to suggest they have deep Bundesliga connections.

Then again, this interesting article says:

Agents John Grimaud, Lou Sticca and, increasingly, Richie Hinton are important as they are charged with moving our best and brightest to overseas clubs.
Grimaud has instigated the transfers of local lads Mitch Langerak (Borussia Dortmund), Robbie Kruse (Fortuna Dusseldorf), Josh Kennedy (Nagoya Grampus) and Matthew Spiranovic (Urawa Reds).
From a different article:
Vossen set the ball rolling in a blossoming relationship with Australia back in 2011 when he took the advice of agents John Grimaud and Erwin van der Schaft and flew to Adelaide to watch then teenage prodigy Leckie playing for A-League outfit United.

On the balance and from what is accessible online, I don't think there is much online to suggest Libby's immediate departure. And Grimaud's twitter feed reads more like that of an Aussie football fan than that of an agent.

I might well be proven wrong by the facts, but I feel like Grimaud's screenshot was taken out of context by a few (including myself).

I take the Rojas rumours with a grain of salt

But if it did happen it will only happen in my opinion if hooper and his wages leave us

We may no longer be the cheap two dollar shop of the league but the same cautious and prudent owners are here

Saying all that hooper is getting fitter now and may have optIons else where as a result

Different players  to confuse the matter

No, all we know is Talay said he wasn't interested in Rojas as he wanted players that can fill a few positions. But, even if Talay was interested if city can't afford him no way could we.

The club got money from Singh so there would be funds.

I would not spend any money on a backup striker (Rojas) no matter how useful.

If any money is still left to spend, I would rather put it into the kitty for a LB backup, as Walter Scott ain't Libby, and an understudy would be really useful there for Libby's potential departure next season. A natural left-footer would be nice.

Meanwhile, upfront, we have Piscopo, Davila, Sotirio, Ball, Hooper, McCowatt and Waine, plus the young kid that came on against WSW for the last five minutes.  And we have just extended Sotirio's contract. Clearly Talay believes Sotirio will learn and develop, and he is not as expensive. Rojas would give us one season at best before moving on to a greener pasture across the ditch. Let's all get a firm grip on reality.

If we sign Rojas 2nd is within reach, with a real chance at the grand final - and then anything can happen. If Rojas is on the table, for something we can pay we have to take him.

Maybe it sets Ben Waine back a year, maybe Piscopo packs a sad about reduced gametime, but I'm willing to take those risks for a tilt at actually winning sometying.

waine is bearly even bench quality, mccowatt is sub but not starting XI yet and hopper is still unfit, sotirio and piscopo are good but not creative. If we did sign rojas it would be good competition for sotirio and pisc and give us more options off the bench or with our setup.

In contrast we will not find a decent LB thats willing to sit on the bench just in case unless its a youth like we already have, no point spending money there, RB is ok, would love another libby over there.

Rojas would surely push Sotirio to the bench, giving us a main frontline of Piscopo/McCowatt - Ball - Davila - Rojas, with Hooper (fitness dependent), Sotirio and Waine as main bench attacking options.

Let's be honest - A-League teams that perform well always get raided, so chances are that one or two of those players would get snapped up by a foreign team with more cash than sense

The Nix are not looking at Rojas, it will be the agent trying to make the player seem like there is a lot of offers so the club they are going to, will offer more. Nix are not in negotiations for him.

I call bollocks, the only players he could easily replace would be Piscopo or Sotirio, and he'd be pushing to be better the Piscopo at the moment. He could possibly push Sotirio to the bench - but I don't see Talay making a play for him when he has his squad settled and working well. Whilst Rojas has been great at Victory he's still a gamble for the nix and is likely to be asking for more money than Talay would want to spend on him.

If we want to be a top two club we need to sign Rojas. Depth isnt a bad thing. Is he a better option than what we have on the bench? Yes. Is he better than Sotirio, Mccowatt and Piscopo? History would say so. If he can find some of his old form i'd take him.

Exactly. Put Rojas on this team, and it's potentially a league winning one.
