Not for the FFA. Australian audiences are key. It wil be 7:30pm

Mind you, FFA runs this final and gets the profits, the earlier game may encourage more "undecideds" out, especially with kids, so it may be in their interest to have it earlier too.
We'll see.
Well done Phoenix...another historic night, savouring this one too.

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

My partner is due to pop out our first child. Still managed to waddle her way to the game and watch it.

The excitement didn't spur her into labour, but who knows what might happen tonight!

Great stuff. CCM were absolutely woeful and we were clinical. Ifill was brilliant.

In the 83 minute one tried to make a comparison between Dadi and ibi-inasi(i think it's spelt.) only because they were both black but was stopped before he finished by the other.

Was it a racist comment?  What did they actually say?  And did de Jong say it?  Wouldn't mind him getting the sack.

De Jong called somebody's play 'agricultural' again.  Second time in 3 seasons.  What does that even mean?  As far as I saw nobody's football, in anyway, was of or relating to agriculture.

I thought the CCM players had a fair shout with regards to the second goal.  The ref did blow after they kicked it but they should really have defended better with four guys back.  Add to that Lochy was lucky not to concede a penalty.  Overall I'd say we got a bit lucky but were certainly the better side.

And when Ifill turned 3 players inside-out before nearly managing it on a fourth - that was magic.

Maybe not racist as such, more stupid and ignorant. But some might feel he was going there.

I think it was De jong. He just tried to compare Dadi and ibi-inasi, and sole reason for the comparison was because they were both black.

Ahhhh, just got home from town. Girls couldn't ruin my night tonight. We played them off the universe. Too good. Best game we've played for a while and oh how I loved it.

You're welcome.

I especially like the circling of the linesman's brief flag-raising.

Ref had a bit of a shocker.
There was a penalty each way I think, and he should have called that free kick back.

Lino obviously changed his mind, I was a long way away from that but thought it was a pen at the time

It's amazing that Chris Beath can continue to be so crap as a Referee!

Yeah, just watching the highlights. He made some horrible decisions. Most went our way. CCM had a tough time of it with him.. again.

I thought it sounded like he was about to insinuate that dadi could be ibi-inasi's father because of the age difference.

No chance.

When the 'elder statesmen' of the A-League do it week in and week out and get away with it, there is no way they will book the 'next Harry Kewell's' for it.

I figured out pretty early on that Beath was being lenient with the kids, which is a bad call IMO.

I,m a happy man this morning  Great result but as i was driving home last night i couldn,t help but feel for Greenie the man has a bigger heart than Phar Lap runs his rrse off all night i just feel he is a far better option with the ball at his feet rather than competing for the ball in the air against a larger defender he,ll chase a long ball all day but asking him to win headers all the time is tough lets give him a chance to show his wares as such

cheers all

Who is the person who writes the captions on the Stuff website for the photos?

Because I'm pretty sure every time they get the names of the players wrong. It looks shocking...

Awesome game! The YF boys just make it even better. Brought another 3 converted fans down as well.

Didn't manage to catch up with holeinone or any of the Wangas people. I'll be making more of an effort next season for sure!

A pretty random clip of stuff happening in the ten mins...
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Man, I'm only just out of bed, literally! Oh my head!

Great crowd, great result, and another $70 in my pocket thanks to the TAB (Phoenix 3-0)! Alas, most of that money has already been spent!!

Roll on next week, will be a tight game but I am pretty confident. Could we see extra time at the ROF for the first time??

The last 10 mins of that game were just awesome to watch.
Playing Song 2 at the final whistle was awesome. Crowd sounded awesome.

Just thinking about the wins this season and the three games that come to mind as comprehensive wins are the 6-0 GCU, 3-0 Jests and this one.

I thnk this one is the most satisfying for a range of reasons but includes a pretty dominant performance (other than that flat bit in the second part of the first half).

We've seen extra time (and penalties) already in the PSC final in the second year.
