Losing Lia is a blow, I'm not sure how well Lochy it of position and Hogg will do against a team making their push towards the playoffs.

Off to the game today.

It's going to be a warm one, looking at approximately 31 degrees at kick off.

Go the mighty PHOENIX.

Nix supporters are meeting at the Brisbane Hotel before kick off, all welcome.

it's only a blow because we have no one to replace him with.

I'm interested to see how Hogg goes. Should be a good chance for him to impress and show he's worth a contract next year. Hopefully he's up for it.

I just wanna see us play well for 3rd week and see if my 'Steve-O only posts when we are shit' theory holds water.

not too sure why we needed to replace Lia with Hogg and cause the shuffle in the backs, why not replace him with Sanchez and have a

4 - 3 - 3 shape.

It didn't hold water to start with as I posted the first time you said it about 2-3 weeks ago.

Last week I didn't see the game and was in Aussie, hence no post.

Lochead is bad enough at left back let alone right back.......fingers crossed. :)

Botafogo - Rio de Janeiro and Wellington Phoenix, my two teams til death do us part.

Can't really understand why you would shuffle the team around when you could just swap one midfield  player for another.

Will soon find out if it has worked.

Possibly Manny wanting to go back into midfield??  Greenie should be telling him to do what's  best for the team and that's right back for the minute

Sanchez isn't a holding midfielder like Lia or Muscat. I can see why Greenie has made this decision. Also I think Lochy will do fine at right back. He's payed really well last couple of weeks and he's still playing for a contract so he will definitely give it his all. He's only changing the side of the pitch he's on.

I'm sure he will, but his right peg is less than average.

Lochy a professional footballer, he should have a servicable right peg.

Feel bad for Lindsey, he could have played in the middle and had Manny at rb and then have a straight fight between Hogg and Lochy for the LB spot.

I always assumed left back and right back were very different demanding specialist positions?

Shouldn't be a problem. However, this is Lochhead we are talking about. I'll reserve judgement until at least halftime.

I would say, give Greenie a chance to learn with this team line-up. I am also curious how it will pan out and am not ready to condemn it as a bad line-up without seeing the ball kicked first. Greenie may know something we don't regarding individual players situation or any late niggles. With Boyd and Fenton away, there is not much of a backup option - and we know Perth will be on fire and pushing forward.

In my humble opinion it is not Smeltz we need to contain this time, but the vastly experienced Travis Dodd who will read the WPX team lineup and adjust his position on the field to where the weakest link is.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

I personally would have brought it Lindsay at either DM or RB - or dropped leo back to RB

Funny this. I saw people calling for the reverse to put Lia at LB and drop Lochy earlier this year. Now it's the reverse its like the apocalypse.

Season is gone with only the wooden spoon to shed, what's the point in getting angst with nothing riding on it?

The only thing that matters anymore is that we get the ball to Brockie so he can score a goal or two.

Even though we don't have much to play for I'm still nervous.  On a side note I've never seen a tv ad for the Phoenix but constantly see Breakers and Warriors.
