why would you drop huysegems? genuine question.

I don't think the Nix have quite figured out the best way to use Huysegems. He was good against the Wanderers but looked totally out of sorts against Adelaide. When he first arrived he said in an interview that his strengths were mobility, pass, move and recieve with the ball at his feet...which is exactly what you would expect from a player with loads of experiance in Dutch football. However the Nix don't play like that...its quite obvious that pumping aerial crosses into him is a waste of time. He does look a very cool customer when he's in front of goal though.

What they have to figure out is how to regularly get him into scoring positions.....which brings us back to our original problem of our non creative midfield. If we are still going to play a high percentage of long balls and aerial crosses then you could debate...what is the point of playing him?. Don't get me wrong...I think he is a very good player...but is he the right player for us?. Maybe a better version of a Billy Mehmet would have suited our style.

Huysegems best position is playing out wide on the left. That is what he prefers and that is where he played his best football in Europe.
I  would play him there and put Ifill up the middle.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Also THIS. I think Ifill has played his best football for us up front in the middle. I'd go a front three of Stein, Iffy and Brockie.

I've been advocating it since last year. Just putting it out there.

I was reading that article and thought it was a bit fishy then read the bit that had 'Ifill in front of the back 4 along side Muscat and Lia at LB' and realised it was a troll.

He really is an ultimate troll.  I love that he wants us to hire a forward as manager 'like Fergusson, Clough, or Busby'.  I'm not sure if they were genuine sugestions, or whether he just wants any forward to be thrown in there as manager (also not sure which idea is crazier).  I know he had a bad game last week, but people quickly forget how much we fall apart when Lochhead doesn't play.  And Ifill in front of the back four is just odd.

Caught the end of a radio ad for the game this morning. Sound's like there will be a Santa's grotto for the kids, so who is going to sit on Santa's lap and ask for our own Messi?

weeMac is his most common name on the coast.... L M when he was coach signed him... and LM is a big man and Scottish [well was is an Aussie now] ... any when MM arrived he was Scottish and he is a little man.... so he got the name weeMac...
Below is a typical breakdown of how someone posted their player ratings... this was the Scum match and was the first I opened..

What a fantastic performance.

Our best performance of the season. Superbly drilled and every player was excellent and played their part.

Pasfield 8. Excellent.
Pedj 8. Got done defensively a couple of times but was incredible going forward.
Rose 8. Superb.
Dutchy 7.5. So so cool.
Tesco 8.5. 3 breathtaking covering tackles in the first half alone.
Bernie 8.5. What a great game. The Scummers had nightmares trying to handle him.
Monty 7.5. Usual excellent performance.
Hutcho 7. Gave the ball away 3 times in dangerous positions but still had a good game. The pass for Olly in the first have was pure class. He had a quiet assurance and linked expertly with the back 4.
Olly 7.5. His pace and clever feet created 3 great chances. His finishing is pretty ordinary although the third shot was a good effort. I definately prefer him to Sterj.
WeeMac 7.5. Clever player. He did well but caught offside a few times.
McBreen 9. MOM. Amazing. Funnily enough he wasn't in the game for the first 10 mins and I was wondering if the bubble had burst. His game after that was fan-bloody-tastic. Real quality finish on the first goal and his intelligence with the ball is outstanding. His work rate is so impressive.

Pelle, duke and Zac all did a good job of the bench.

Mom
3pts McBreen
2pts. Tesco
1pt. Bernie.

According to Ryan's rovers we have a 58% win rate with him. It certainly doesn't seem it, maybe we've won a few with him in recent seasons?

Looking at Ultimate A League, he's only done is 3 times since this date 2 years ago

Considering he's just done CWC 3rd place game, he is a Kiwi and the Aussie refs have been an utter fucking disgrace this year and have fucked us a few times, it would be good to have an experienced referee rather than these rookies we get.

10 wins, 3 draws, 4 losses. Only time he has done Nix v CCM, was a 2-0 win to us.

For CCM he is 5 wins, 3 draws, 3 losses.
