Would all you haters pleasse watch what greenacre does OFF the ball. Also, a striker can't score if he doesn't get the service..

However, the fans and hopefully Ricki and the team are very disappointed their dominance didn't get 3 points
[/QUOTE]

Same stuff as the last 5 weeks

Don't have any idea in the final 3rd to be fair. We have great wing players in Daniel, Bertos and Ifill but no one to get on the end of the crosses.

I'm not sure what Greenacre brings to the front third of the pitch. He's very good defensively and at pressuring the defence but he can't create and he can't finish off what should be reasonably easy chancers for a good pedigree striker. I like him, i'm just not sure where he sits

Are you being sarcastic? His job is to score goals and he hasn't. He isn't even threatening a goal - its all Ifill and Bertos.

I've maintained its been quality of ball but this week.... We need a goal scoring striker not a grafting striker.

What was it Ricki said? At some point soon they are going to have to do the job they are paid for

Yep. That's what I said.

I'm off to bed. 2 clean sheets in a row. 2 points. Better than no points at all.

Bertos and Ifill need to stop going for shots outside the box its pathetic and they rarely trouble they rarely trouble the keeper.

Also don't we want Greenacre to score?

He hardly ever gets the ball so how is he meant to score, you know some secret way?

He runs all day but we never give him good chances in open play.

Greenie is good, and could well be brilliant... but - either we give him a target man to work off OR we play a striker that can operate more effectively on his own (if we have one) OR we stopwhining and get over it.

We need to score goals... as a team, and we aren't so something needs to change - and no, I dunno but then I ain't a FM (at least not until FM10 comes out lol).

What do you mean 'good chances in open play'? Tap ins? There have been a few balls across the box but Greenacre is never there. He missed a free header etc. Like I said, he works hard but i'm not sure how he adds to our attack.  To be fair to him, he is basically playing as a lone striker a lot of the time and I think his lack of attacking opportunities could probably be put down to that.

I think our real problem is that we're still missing that Hernandez/Miller-type player in the middle of the park though.

Greenare does so many yards we just need to get ifill and bertos to stop taking those shots and give a decent ball to greenacre for him to put in the back off the net its exactly like smeltz tonight he got no good service so he had no scoring oppurtunitys and was taken out of the game all u greenacre haters can F off

Yeah Ifill could bring us so much more as a RM/RW. We need to start a real striker alongside Greenacre. Of course this means someone needs to be dropped, possibly Daniel despite his good performances, it is just too risky to split Brown and Lia up.

If Ifill is on the wing then where do Daniel and Leo sit though? That is the problem. We basically play with Ifill/Bertos interchanging on the wings and Daniel a bit more central though

Miron called us New Zealand...

How about Bertos and Daniel on the wings and Ifill where he belongs as a CAM and play two actual strikers.

P.S. Mirons an idiot

PPS. and how about giving the subs a chance to do something.

Once again we played well.
We are just really struggling in the last third.
Our attack lacks urgency. I am sick of seeing leo or Ifill making runs and having either nobody there to put the ball in or players being in the wrong position.

I suspect that its also the cause of the many shots that flew over the goal.

He better be getting us a striker. We don't need Fred as a marquee player this season, we need a good targetman. Next season we should go after Fallon and our team will be complete.

Has Ifill ever played CAM in his career? I doubt it. Why would we put him there now? He's a naturally wide player.
