Caceras will be gone for Daniel. We need to do a real 4-4-2 this week. No more of this 4-3-3 pretend stuff to make it seem like we have 3 strikers. Play Chen, Costa or Ifill in a real strikers role not another AM. Greenacre gets no chances per game (perhaps one or two in our last one though) and this is totally because of our formation and service to him. How come the only person that can finish in our team never gets a chance to???

Also can anyone tell me how long McKain is out for?

Well ive had sudden change of heart about Diego...
Gotta add more than Ferrante surely??

But if we played like we did this weekend (giving the opposition a lot of scoring chances) I think Mr Smeltz won't be as forgiving.

Central Coast put 3 past Gold Coast last week and didn't concede any, and then when they came to Welly they couldn't get anything past us.  We just need to double mark Smeltz like every team did to us last 2 years and he shouldn't see too much of the ball.

And Culina & Porter.   We also have to close down Traore, other than that they have an average side.

Traore is overrated and if the others aren't running Culina falls apart.  He's a classic example of a player playing down to the level he's at.  He should never have come home.

Traore can be dangerous though, when he bursts forward he needs to be watch.  Fully agree with your Culina comment but he does need to be watched, if he is on form he sure does know how to pass.

I'm surprised Ifill has been given the green light less than 24 hours after the match given he looked injured during the game.
Also, if McKain is fit I'm not sure Ricki would want to break up Lia/Brown partnership, whether it's this week or next. When he returns it may be to the bench.
I'd have Ferrante on the bench over Diego if it came to them. Ricki may take the kids again.

He's not fit, probably still a month away, maybe more.

And when he comes back he may well slot back into the backline, where he played pretty well against Melbourne before being injured.

For who? I'd be happy with exactly the same starting XI and bench except with Daniel in for Caceres.

I'd like to see Chen given a run off the bench sooner rather than later. If he is/was a under 23 international he can't be that bad - why would Ricki sign him - just to make up the required number for the squad?

Muscat was arguably the MOM and the only one of the back 4 who could complete a pass against CCM and you've got him on the bench? Hearfield gets a start based on what? Lia got through as much defensive work as Brown and did a hell of a lot more with the ball but no room for him? You'd need a traffic controller down theleft hand side with Berots/Rojas and Daniel all drifting there naturally. Has the look of a fairly random selection about it.
