No more jitters, just beautiful blissful endorphins....

Great 2nd half from the boys.

Great win, much better second half.

Good header Big Dadi, we have needed someone to get on the end of our corners.

Ifill's instinct and absolute desire to shoot makes all the difference to me.

And  Mckain gets something, should keep him happy

Durante. Magnificent! Not the best performance and we still get a 3 - 0 win. Something's going right!Jag2010-01-15 21:33:19

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

But if only he could kick the ball! (I say this as a goalie who can't place kick for crap myself. ;)

Scrappy 1st half, took a while for both teams to settle in those conditions - we seem to struggle playing with the wind to our backs and kick the ball to long and in the air where I think it would be better for ball to feet.
2nd half was alot better - the team managed to absorb a 20 minute spell of pressure from Fury, tight defence top effort and then Ifill scored the 2nd goal so we had les pressure on us.
Excellent effort boys.

massive 3 points
conditions looked terrible

speaking of terrible: Tony Lockhead

Bertos had best game in a while, Lia, Durante, Hearfield all good too.
nice goal for Ifill

Perth then Adelaide, can lock the play-offs here. < id="WebWizRTE" ="http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/forum/RTE_.asp?mode=reply&POID=0&ID=760" style="border: 1px solid rgb(165, 172, 178);" onload="initialiseWebWizRTE();" width="490" height="250"></>

Phoenix have equalled most wins in a season 7, team is looking good. although Tim brown will miss the next game. But still a great win despite the conditions. Awesome support from YF the chants were so loud and clear.

Agreed. I think Lochhead's been playing well, but tonight I thought he was diabolical.

Will be interesting to see the formation change next game with Brown out unless Diego slots in for him..

And Lochy had his worst game of the season because I was praising him before the game In saying that he made a game-saving challenge on Brockie.

Apparently he needs 8 cards before he gets suspended, as we are after R21. Someone will explain it to you better. Lucky stuff for Browny and everyone else close to suspension.

Good win. Really good start for the business end of the season. . . quite satisfying.

Reddy did great to withstand serious pressure in the first half. The Furries had obviously decided that he was the weak link in our team. They were wrong.

If Greenie is fit (and Dadi now) I would expect a 4-4-2 shift with Ifill pushing wide.

Ha ha, same here. Murphy's Law. Still shouldn't be singled out though because McKain, Lia and a few others were really poor in the first half.

Plenty of depth at the Phoenix...it's REALLY great to see. We must be one of the strongest teams in terms of playing roster, and the results are slowly but surely coming to the fore. Tonight was a case of NQF playing very well and dominating long periods of the game. I just felt they were a bit like us in Season 1, just an average side lacking sufficient quality and players in front of goal (outside of God) to be a real threat. That said, if they had picked up an early goal, things could have been so different.

Good result tonight.  Thought Locky was a bit shaky tonight though.

Apparently the girl who got her top off got told to put it back on. I don't see how that is more offensive than man boobs?

You guys should stage a feminist protest at the next home game imo

Didnt think Lochy was that bad. Wondering how that is figured, considering not many crosses or breakthroughs by the Fury were made on his side of the ground. To me he needs to defend well first and foremost and i thought he did. He had the better of Brockie.

McKain and Lia made quite a few sloppy passes

I'm a woman and I'm shocked and appalled to hear that I'm not allowed to get my shirt off for the Nix. How about if I wear a vest underneath it?

I'm not sure how you can single Lochy out here. There were a sh*tload of people whose passing was atrocious, 1st half especially. The number of times that passes were made behind players in transition slowing everything down (or worse 2-3m ahead and flying over the sideline.) was ridiculous. Lochy was by far not the worst example of this.

Great result.
No wonder There are 600,000 Kiwis living in Oz. Mid summer and the coditions looked like they were like the UK in the last week.
I thought that that was one of the worst games we have played this season. Apart from Ready most players were crap.Fury will wonder how thet lost.
The worst were Lockhead and Brown who continues to contribute nothing except a yellow card. We will probably do a lot better next week without him.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

What the hell? Brown was desperately unlucky not to score a fine goal in injury time. And his head was all that was keeping the Furries' long-range shots out a lot of the time (although Hearfield also helped.)

Yep  Hopefully it will be enough to convince Terry to relocate
Or maybe we just get our own team.

To be honest, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's a huge crowd in Christchurch.

great game tonight, solid first half and strong finish. there'd better be a huge crowd in chch, 3 straight wins is a big enough build up. I reckon brown's abscence leaves a gap to play someone up front, either costa starting or caceras wih greenie on the bench. lia and muscat can run the mids with Leo and Ifill on the wings.

Much better second half..first half hung back I thiught and waited to see what Fury had. mSecond half answered that.  Walked 3 minutes in rain aftermatch..amazed players could do so well in it for 94 minutes.

Dadi lapped up and acknowledged the attention as he walked to tunnel for what I presume will be umpteen stitches.  was quiter 2nite but still knows how to add presence and score..and tracks back well.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen
