$25 for any sporting event is pretty good value (for almost 2 hours worth)

I'd say that if you went to more than a couple of games you might start questioning the expense.

See if they have those entertainment book vouchers - two for one.

Also for anyone planning to head to this game who wasnt there last night against the Roar, try get tickets before the day... it was an absolute zoo with massive queues at all the booths 5mins before kick off. We only got in on time as a group of random supporters approached us with a couple of extra tickets that we picked up for a tenner each. Which was much appreciated btw in case youre reading this!!!
the queue was probably not helped by the inability to buy tickets online thru ticketek on Saturday ..... only option was to get a ticket at Westpac. What's the story on that?

Hoping we can get a reasonably bigger crowd than the Brisbane game with all the media coverage and after a couple of good wins to get into the playoff zone. My work's social club are going to go which is good to see.

I wouldn't bring Greenacre into the starting 11 if everyone else is fit.

We've been very lucky with the weather for all of the home matches.  just one early in the season where it was rather wet coming ut and walking down the concourse (but no complaints cos it may have helped Leo with his free kick).

Yeah.

Gave Muscat a Yellow for a studs up mid-thigh kick on matt Thompson among other things.

How many yellows does the wrong Muscat have?  You'd think it'd be around about the 10 mark by now considering he appears to consider rules as mere suggestions.

the nix have a good run home, and i think that this game will be very important to where we finish, although theoretically we could afford a draw. i think we really need to come home with 3 points from this one

True that.

IIRC, none of the teams left to play the Nix have beaten us this season. (3 wins, 9 draws)

I'm trying to get a big group of people along, but they are whinging about ticket prices.  Why don't ticketek do group bookings for these games?

I still pay it but I agree it is far too expensive, two people = $28 each, over the top. They should reduce them and would get a lot more people along.  $19 would be a good start.

Go get a season pass then.

Can't, some of us work weekends with no guarantees to how many games we can go to
Permalink Permalink

So you make it $19 and you get 500 more along.  That leaves you (using last weekend's numbers) $45k down on your take which has to come from Terry's pocket.

It's not a charity it's professional football and at some stage Terry needs to stop bleeding money.  The price is reasonable value when compared to other events and is calculated to cover as much of the costs as realistically possible.

I bet you wont have any trouble coughing up money if/when the finals roll around...

Yeah, of course they should reduce them. I mean, it's ludicrous, $28 to see a football match? . Outrageous. I think they should charge $5 each and throw in some free chips and a couple of beers as well.

Welcome to the real world.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Yes !!!!.

Coming down to Welly to a) Check out God (!) and b) hopefully maintain my 100% record of a Riki Herbert Team always winning every time I have watched them live. (that does include the Nix B beating Waitakere 7-0 and THAT game back in November  - but only two A-League games)

Can't wait...

Cue a replay of previous thread about Perennial strugglers Liverpool supporters wanting to turn up to NQF game to see or support Fowler versus cheering for Nix.

Most have been suggesting a change in line-up- why? I mean certainly happy to rearrange the front three (Dadi with Greenie running off, Ifill to have a free role), but we've won our last two matches playing a 4-3-3- and looked good in doing so. I've liked Lia and Timmy having the opportunity to push forward a bit more, and many has been doing a top job.

I'd see the 4-3-3 as a bit more attacking, in that we are only playing one more-defensive midfielder than the two we play in a 4-4-2. Fury's defence isn't exactly the best in the league- probably comparable to the Roar's atm, so no reason not to put a lot of pressure on them. I'd hope that Dura/McKain can cope with Fowler, and am sure Daal won't be a problem. As he is rubbish.

I'm also unsure of who I would drop for Greenie- I guess I'd look at him and Bertos 50/50- no real preference between the two.

We should've won the first game against them but they were by far the better team in our 2nd 1-1 draw.

So the 4-3-3 is more attacking than the 4-4-2 even though we are playing with an extra DM?
