that was a very good half from the Phoenix -probably the best Ive seen all season -Leos running with confidence -hopefully we can go on with it next half

Geez, if you'd offered me 0-0 at half time before the match I'd have taken it. Real end-to-end stuff, both sides look like they'll score at any minute. The stream died for a moment there, but did the Cakes really take a quick free that Pasty only saved with his feet?

Leo is superb. Ifill has had so much more space and looked better. Tbh, I'd take Big Mac over Pav from that half. Durante is quality and Hearfield and Muscat doing well. Crikey, the whole team is doing well!

Great half missing that final pass got to the byline quite a few times but can't get that last ball in to have a shot. Manny, Bertos and Paston have had great first halfsanth1832010-10-22 22:55:51

Good work first half. Bertos particularly has been sharper than previous games..
Quite like this 442 line up actually.
Everyone putting in reasonable effort and the weather and good marking is blunting the Adelaide attack.

As most say, best 1st half this season. We are playing well, but Adelaide have not fired.
Tim Brown lucky to still be on the field.
We have a good chance, but I would not write off Adelaide yet.

Very encouraging. We've actually played football, found space and played to our strengths. We've even seen the old Leo.

We'll probably feel so uncomfortable about being comfortable on the ball that we'll play like cocks in the 2nd half and lose 4-0. First half, can't remember the first half we'll all say.

The urgency is just so much more obvious. Winning most of the 50/50s and closing down really well. Good, crisp passing too. Really, really good first half...just need a goal.

I don't know what Ricki was thinking of putting Pavlovic up front, he is lazy on the ball and his first touch is as bad as Ferrante, for this error, Ricki should be sacked because of this.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.
