That was Marco Rojas, last years scholarship winner.  He's coming back from surgery on that ankle.  Musa was the taller, dark skinned lad playing behind him at left back.

thanks for the clarification - then I definitely rate Mr Rojas ......

Classic moment for me was listening to the guy behind me (first half) analysing the match as if it were a World Cup final or something... FFS
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

So were Stopout any gud..? I heard some players were of some notable mention and they tried to match them by passing it around..
Be great to see them against a central league team like lower hutt.

I heard the Stop Out goal was cos Fulch ran out to try and head the ball and it bounced over him on the wet surface. Someone to clarify?

Stop Out got two.  You mean the last one, I wasn't watching that closely, was trying to work out what had happened to Marco.  From memory though it was a nice chip from a Stop Out forward.

For Stop Out, Steve Gulley was (as always) excellent.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Set up by their #12, finished nicely by their #18.

Am I right that Fulch was wearing a Reddy shirt? That really got my hopes up for a second until I realised that it clearly wasn't and of course wouldn't be.

Well, he wore number 40 which was Reddy's number last season.

Wasn't paying enough attention to see if it had Reddy on the back.

yep, it said 'reddy', but he looked a bit short to be the man himself

Stop out scored a couple of good goals. But were heavily out played, in the first half anyway (while it was still largly established Nix players on the field). They struggled to get more than 2 or 3 passes together. By the time the 'trialists' came on they looked a bit better.

And whats up with Steve Gulley always trying to pat people on the back of the head when things get heated? lol

Steve Gulley definitely my favourite Capital Premier player.  I'm a fanboy.

Him winding up Dan O'Brian when Stop Out played Wests Reserves was the best bit of entertainment I've seen in Capital Premier.  Ever.

Followed quite closely by anything Matt Carnihan does.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
