Yip only problem is its the 17th round of the Northern Premier League at 2.45 that afternoon, with at least 3 senior sides playing

Hopefully Ref will abandon the game if he hears those dam bells that ruin the rugby.

I wonder if there will be a set Fever Zone at Waikato Stadium!!!!

It will also be good with Waikato Stadium being rectangular (it is isn't it?). Be right up close to the action.

Yes it is.

I am stoked that they are playing in Hamilton!
An eight minute drive beats an eight hour drive!
However the 2pm kick off is not ideal at all. A lot of football fans, including myself, will be playing at that time and a lot of prospective fans (i.e. rugby players) will be watching the rugby. I hope a large turnout can still happen though.

I'm hoping to see if my team will postpone our game so we can head along!

Also, what is happening with the yellow fever? Any designated area? I want to get amongst it!
P.s. no cowbells

We're talking to the Stadium about exactly that... even though most of us will be playing here.

I hope that it wouold be in the main stand the Fever Zone. View will be rubbish from the cheap seats. Even if it's uncovered it will still be fine. I hope a lot of Wellingtonians will take the weekend off playing to travel up and support the team in good voice!!!

Yes there will be a Fever Zone.

Check out full schedule. Rugby Commitment on Thursday. Rugby Commitment on Sunday.
Grounds guys have to change out markings straight after game on Saturday.
Hence the kick off time.
Fully understand those playing on Saturday.
Still going to be an awesome event at a great venue

I like this line in the Waikato Times story:

"The Times understands Auckland was not considered because of the city's historic apathy to soccer and Christchurch was kept out of the equation because it is already hosting a game during the coming season. "

Sucks to be Auckland!

Except in the NZFC, of course. :)

I only moved here in 2006 so it's not my fault the Knights sucked dead puppies through a straw, but I'll bear my cross with dignity (and hope that someone gives me a big paying job in my preferred field in Welly someday soon). I'm driving back from Nelson to Auckland on Thursday-Friday, playing a night game on Friday, then driving back to the 'Tron on Saturday, just to see the Nix.

P. S. at Mooloo press - they haven't been the Queensland Roar for two years now.

Check out Ticketek for Fever Zone at Waikato Stadium. Primo view close to Half way, close to dug outs, very close to food and drink!

Looks like they dont want kids in the Fever Zone, only adults tickets available - They must have heard about my 11 year old daughters foul mouthed rants at the refs last season

Will the fever be putting on another bus? Would be good if one, like Smithy's one to Palmy, could be put on.

That's one long ass bus trip.

Three for me, and two for them.

If you start from Welly about 6 or 7 am you should be in the 'Tron by kickoff. Probably best if you just stay up all night on Friday.

Negative big fella.  No bus planned.  We're not expecting many to travel.  While we'd absolutely love to, the game being on a Saturday afternoon when we've all got football makes things tricky.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Looks like we might be on a roadtrip for this one, as the better half wants to visit family and go along to the game.

If any of her family try to bring cowbells I'll give them an earful.

I think AFF and Wai-BOP should give it some thought.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

You'll all have to wait until July 25th to get your C-Diddy Fix!

Better halfs 30th is that day so i'm a non starter unfortunately!

Gonna give this one a miss sorry.

July is not a good month - a few bills to pay and this year ticketek have actually charged my credit card within a few days of renewing membership. Going to get tickets for Boca Jnr, so will forego the chance to visit the tron

(Even allowing for Doloras's Lesbian Spurs fan friend)

10% discount for Aucklanders and another 5% if they take the chips off their shoulders?
