Game slowing before halftime now...players seem tired. A lot of long balls being knocked all of a sudden

They're still there though,aren't they?
Not in the NRL,the premier league.

Yeah, but surely they wouldn't play there...that's like, an NZFC team playing at Waikato Stadium or something!

I presume the plan must've been to relocate them, then get them in...but now the NRL's offering barrels of cash to anyone that wants to move there, the real question is - would they change what's on the seats, or just change it to the 'Central Coast Bears'*

*including all other teams playing home matches at Gosford, thus keeping this post in this thread.

Yeah, sounds like it's pretty hot over there, which would take it out of 'em.

I thought hes played ok  have never understood any stick hes gotten this season. Hes not amazing, but has gotten the job done every time hes played. Would prefer Daniel or kwasnik have an extended run up there though...but still...

He has lost his touch and doesnt seem to be able to finish. Sure he wins alot of pens and sure he puts in effort but wouldnt drapes and costa do the same

What the heck, is CCM been having more of the ball attack all of the sudden? Thats like three attacks by CCM, lucky they aren't finishing or getting the last pass in. We giving them too much practice for a goal.

Commentator seems fixated on the breeze!

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

They wouldn't have his experience.

Three for me, and two for them.

Don't think McKain has been better than Johnson yet, but he is a physical force in that midfield. A couple of turn overs there.

Brown also been slow to get back a couple of times, but been good going forward and gets into the box from the midfield well. They reckon that was his header too in the box?

Haven't seen anything from Gao or Kwasnk really. Everry time we go down the flank we turn back again.

What the hell are you on about? He had our best chance and also set up our 2nd best chance (Brown's header).

We were dominating for the first 20 mins but after that CCM were on top though they never really had a clear chance.

Don't think we've played all that well but neither have CCM. It's still far from the worse that we have dished up.

Im rather enjoying it.The last 5 or so minutes of the half were a bit of a drag as the players got tired. But has still been a good game

We look OK but have we got the stamina? I like McKain and Brown's work in the midfield but Gao started looking like a passenger from about the 30 minute mark.

Can't say I agree, he just does a lot of grafting these days, and hasn't done anything too sharp of late.

Average first half. Can't be too critical at the pace of the game though given the conditions. Looking for all money like it's gonna be a one goal game. Don't wanna leave it too bloody late though.

Three for me, and two for them.

Yep, probably North Queensland or the GC. He's a good defender and has shown it. Still don't think he's a true right back but he's doing a decent job.

What happened to all the goals in the last few rounds

Permalink Permalink
over 17 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
there are 3 points here for us, it might come down to fitness in the last 15 mins and use of subs

that elbow on covs might have been worth a yellow in some games

smeltz had a great run midway through the half

godd to see us leading shots on target 4- zip

hopefully jedinak's yellow will muzzle him a bit

if daniel comes on for kwas later, i reckon he'll do a better job of linking with lochy as an attacking option

CMON YOU NIX!!

There has still been heaps of chances just the finishing hasn't been up to scratch. It seems like if one game is high scoring then all of the games are high scoring and the same for low scoring games. It's a bit weird.

Uhhh cant have goals every game? You do realise how hot it is over there right? The pace of the game is obviously slower to reflect that.

0-0 doesnt neccesarily mean boring

Hope so. CCM haven't had any shots on target but they dominated the last 20 minutes and we will have to fix that. Smeltz was being forced to retreat way too far, leaving Coveny isolated. Gao and Kwasnik need to do much more. Lochhead keeps making runs but Kwasnik never sees him as well.

No idea why the playing this game in this sort of heat again. Both sides look shattered and that adds to mistakes that adds to the ref blowing his whistle every couple of mins.

Still we are doing ok. Smeltz needs to get upfield more but pretty good.

CCM have the worst chants ever. For about 20mins all you could sort of hear was MUUHHHHHHHH and then a couple of bangs of the drums. MUUUUUUUU! BANG! BANG! BANG!  Then the bloody horns started going awful. We should send out tapes of the Fever so they can be like us.

I think also need to get more support from the centre mids to get those runs up the wing. To givee credit to the defence, it has been very strong on us down the flanks.

Yep our defence has been good. Though they have been good for the last few games, really. There hasn't been as much of the long ball stuff from Durante as well - though there has been a heap of long throws for some reason.

I think we have problems with creating space/making runs for throws. Always seems like we just chuck it away needlessly.

Defence is looking good. Dodd is far more at home there. He's broken up a few dangerous looking attacks. Sigmund's excellent.
