Supposedly Lochead coming back from injury, possibly rested?

I would like to see:
----------------Paston----------------
Troy----Siggie-----Dura-----Muscat
--------------Lia-----------------------
-----------------Brown----------------
Leo---------------------------Ifill------
-----------Greenie--------------------
-----------------D-Mac----------------

Pretty standard shape, nearly the same as we closed out last year strongly except replace Dadi with Macallister. Not to keen on 3-4-3 myself, would prefer us to try and pick up where we left off last season.

just randomly why is troy referred to as party boy or disco?

Yup, it's flat back four on Friday. I can see Manny getting an appearance, but with new signings is there space for Party boy?

My bet for starting+subs

Unless Lochead is still injured - but he looked OK v U20?
and presuming McAllister is fine
50/50 Manny or Lia for me, though they may both start at the expense of Hearfield.  I didn't think Hearfield connected with many passes vs the U20s, but that's not really much to go on.  So I'm guessing Ricki goes with his main plan from last year.

Paston
Hearfield Sigmund Dura Lochhead
     Manny/Lia
              Brown
Bertos                                         Ifill
Greenacre
McAllister
Subs
Crowther(/Gould - foot injury to Crowther some-one said?)
Lia/Manny
Toto
Daniel

otherwise agreed as posted above - Manny for Lochhead if Locky not ready for a start

It's a funny old game innit?

Despite the WC, the Boca Jnr game, the pre-season angst re signing players, the almost flawless ticketek issuing of season passes (but then the c*ck up with the CHCh game dates), I have felt remarkably flat coming into this season.

It's only with watching some dreary games over in Oz this weekend (last one the exception - and i missed the 3-3 results) and seeing the nix street flags up that I'm starting to feel the embers of excitement rekindling.

I think this week is going to be angsty in a good way.

Gold Coast look there for another thrashing if they play like they did against the Roar. One man midfield doesn't really work.

My position is that Mossy was within his rights to leave, bigger club, competition for his place here and had a reputation before he joined us.

Smeltz, not so much... and then he slagged us as not being finals quality.  Smeltz gets the lot.

Pity that there is a women's game kicking of at 7.40 on Friday night on the new all weather pitch!!!!! That's at least 30 people who won't have the chance to be at the stadium. popz2010-08-09 10:21:13

Judas is the Greek form of a Hebrew name (??????), first declension masculine noun, so it would take the plural form ??????... So "Judai" would be close enough. Unless you wanted the Hebrew plural, which would be more like "Judahim".

Being a proper name or title though wouldn't the plural just be a " 's ".
Two people with the same name or title when mentioned together are always pluralised this way.
I may be wrong though.

take the plural form Ιούδαι   the correct should be Ιούδαioi (with the oi being the plural form)

Fortunately there's only one Judas.

Based on Gold Coast's performance against the Roar I'd say it's not possible to underestimate them they were that uninspiring.  Heck, if Joel 'the nose' Porter is playing we can ditch Paston and have another outfield player.

Playing a gig on Friday night. May have to wrestle the bar staff to get them to put on the Nix game rather than whatever god-awful handegg fixture is on the other Sky channel.

Do we PAX for regular season games?  If so, PAX 6243 around midday today.  Encouraging for so early in the week.

This is one of the great questions that need answering.

Perhaps some recon on the Sydney forums will tell us? They seem to be the Yoda of PAX.

Three days before the Roar game he was dropped from the starting team. He won't be playing this week.

Oops busted!  I'm just a wannabe Horus!  My brother's going (I can't make it) and I asked him what his PAX was, but thought it would be too weird to ask when he bought his ticket so I made up the Monday thing.

John Curtis is their right back, if he is fit. With everyone fit I suppose Curtis, Djulbic, Twaite and Traore are their back four.

If Djulbic is out then Van den LOL will start I suppose.
