So Waitakere want to play some quality warm up games against better clubs - maybe A-League teams (their words) - in preparation for their tilt at the World Club Champs.
How about Danny and his boys against the Nix?
Are Waitakere up for it? Would the Nix risk it?
Fascinating prospect!

Wouldn't do either club harm if it's in the Nix pre-season.

I don't see why not, theoretically we can look at it like if we were in the final playoff for the Oceania spot in the Club World Cup :P

think it would be well worth a look.

Imagine if we lost. How terrible would that be.

Depends how we treat it. If it's a pre-season game trialling a few players and making wholesale changes, who cares.
Imagine the Grey and Miserables trying to work out who to boo... their heads would explode.

I imagine we'd do a 'Crusaders' on it, try out the new players and ++gametime in the first half, then bring on the artillery at half-time to see if we can pull back/away the score.

Yep. Melbourne Victory played South Melbourne last year. (though that wont happen again. There was a bit of controversy - if I remember correctly a flare hit a player.)

They played a few VPL sides and the others play local sides as well. The problem here is that the NZFC is a summer competition so at this point Waitakere is the only NZFC side that hasn't distributed most of the players back to Winter League clubs.
There are no other NZFc sides to play.
The Phoenix reserves did play TW to help with TW during the NZFC pre-season.
