Surprised there isnt a thread for this already - anyone know who might be playing in this selection squad?

I don't even know who is organising it...but suspect it might be Matt Calcott.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Doesnt make sense to have it there when every other Nix pre-season game has had its own thread in this section.

Having spent all my teenage years playing for Raumati Hearts at Weka Park its great to see the Phoenix mixing with the locals out on the coast.  Will have to travel out there from Wellington to watch the game and catch up with my old folks.  Well done Ricky Herbert

Can't remember if there are grass banks at weka park or te size of it.. Suppose to be nice and sunny on monday, should be a good one!Azevo2011-08-05 20:44:05

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

Google maps shows me there is grass, but I can't tell if they are banks or not... Looks like a standard cricket/football pitch size though.

Metservice says that there are going to be showers, so hopefully the forecast changes to something slightly nicer.

Are there any trains that go there? Wouldn't mind a wee day out...

Trains to Paraparumu station. Bus is cheap right to the corner of Weka and Raumati Road.

Damn damn damn, being a ex-Pram person I'd be keen to check this out but don't know if I'll be able to that day.

We're having to quickly touch up our sign, thought we'd have ages before it had to go back up. Will be awesome seeing the boys up our way

woo my club hosting the nix . there is a small bank in front of thr club rooms but there is also a new deck being built so this will take out some of the standing ground .There is a few other banks  and some nice big trees to climb to get the best vantage point lol
. I scored a goal by the way on the weekend awseome much

I hope that Terry isn't using this match as a chance to meet with Kerry Buddle to inquire about potential investment opportunites she may have in the Phoenix...

Cool is one of them a Westpac?

Does Weka Park still have incredibly dingy changing rooms? Could scare off any Nix triallists!

More like the dodgy TV1 reporters hanging around the changing rooms that would scare them.

Explain how clever I will need to be?  Better yet just get me the key so I can be there pre-game waiting.

Fixed.
Was tempted to change boot to something else but thought I'd refrain.

Weather forecast not looking too great, are there any big trees we could huddle under to stay out of the rain?
