Looks like am amazing final. Glad Roar won it as I like the way they play.

And if Kwasnik can score in a grand final, there is hope for everyone.

Kwasnik obviously learned how to play the game after his stint with the Nix.

i was all geard up when presspass came on this evening, they mentioned how fantastic the a-league final was and how it had everything, how it was an excellent way to sell the game in Aus, how remarkable Roar have been all season... then right when you think theyre going to show the goals... the lights dim and its all over

the f**k?

Wasn't on TV3's Firstline this morning. Sky News had a bit, but even then could have expected more.

missed CGW earlier tonight, just sat down to watch replay on prime. The idiots fecked up. played the 1st part, went to a commerical break and replayed the 1st part again. Then when I think they will play the 2nd part, the cut it out completely to play the last section of the show. FECK!

Missed TV1 and TV3 news as well, but then guess I didn't miss much after all.

In all the replays I've seen, there's only been one angle of the Paartalu goal - the wide angle.  Would be good to see it from behind the goal or end-on.  No biggie, just saying.

A great game of football ,enjoyed every minute of it from a neutral perspective !

Unless it is my team playing, or a team I despise, I don't bother watching.

I watched it. Amongst a group of 11 men and women who have done nothing but watch rugby, league and cricket their whole lives and spent the WHOLE time complaining about the differences between the sports and obviously in their minds, football was a subnormal sport to watch.

When they all scoffed at the Roar's comeback...ugh.

Trying to explain how the game works etc. didn't seem to help. Just seemed to fan their anti-football swagger.

Made for one of the worst finals game I have ever watched.

How could they possibly scoff at the Roars comeback??

That sucks for you to have a great game ruined like that.

Is that the 5 minute argument, or the full half hour?

The game was a cracker, had just about everything.

No sympathy for CCM, if you can't hold on to a 2 goal lead with 4 minutes to go, you don't deserve to win a final.

Highlight of the night for me? Before they started taking the penalties, I sent a txt to my mate saying that McBreen would miss if he got to take one. Hey Presto!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I think I know what he means kind of, I know for a fact that some people I know dislike football because a team can dominate but then lose a game in the last minute.

...but the same can happen in Rugby or League.

How often have the Warriors been second best (ew) for 60 minutes then storm home in the last 20?

How about tests where the ABs dominate every stat but lose on kicks.

It's just an excuse perpetuated by the perpetually clueless.

Sorry.  Annoys me that.

Doesn't generally happen in Cricket as a rule.

Three for me, and two for them.

Not generally, but does happen. Hattrick changing the game. How many times has the NZ batting line up collapsed when looking like they're cruising to an easy win? Tegal2011-03-16 14:48:25

But then it's the bowling for the opposition that has won them the game.

Very rarely will a side win a cricket match after being dominated throughout (except maybe T20 i don't know). Otherwise some aspect of your performance (bat, bowl, field) will have done enough to earn you the victory.

Like i say that is generally how it works.

Three for me, and two for them.

Same logic with football.

Its like( to use an extreme example) if a team needs 10 runs to win with 10 wickets in a test match hand then lose, they would have dominated for days, then lost it at the end. Much like CCM being on top for 117mins (I know they didn't score until injury time themselves, but still) then losing in the last 4 mins.

Ugh.

Off topic I know, but I hosted the AW's WC Qualifier at my house. Never mind supporting our countrymen, no. The comparisons to League/Union were non stop

It was nice when the ROF shook when we scored. And the scenes at the end.

I've only discovered today the final was played...I'd like to know what percentage of keen Nix fans acually give a stuff about the A-league. Am I in a minority that thinks whenever the Nix get knocked out of the league, that may as well be the end of the A-league season?

News need not respond because I know he's probably in the other minority that watches a replay of the Final 100 times over.
