just thinking who I'd prefer more, tbh not really sure. but I hope ricki chooses one as the regular starter and keep it that way for the whole season unless one gets injured. i didnt like it last season how we changed keepers quite often for games.

No he didn't. The only changes were made if one was unavailable, then the player that came in maintained the position until he was unavailable.

Crowther ftw.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Nothing personal but I've never rated Paston - he just doesn't fill me with confidence, having said that I haven't seen Crowther play so better the devil you know I guess

Paston is rubbish so I am going to say Crowther even though I have never seen him play.
God I hope is he good enough to be number 1, Paston sure isn't

im not sure if it was lack of game time last season but paston always filled me with fear if he was on the field. I will never forget that dreadful attept of a save he tried to make against sydney(??) last yea. god.

I'm happy with Paston. I remember a couple of outstanding saves in the home wins over Sydney and Melbourne last year. Doesn't have quite the execptional shot stopping abilities of Moss (who God knows got plenty of chance to hone them in Season 1), but is better in the air. Crowther is an unknown quantity at this stage.

If patson gets the number 1 spot and plays a large part of the season, I can see him growing into a really solid keeper for us if he gets the senior role.
Queenslander 3x a year.

I watched Crowther play in the mainland game and although he wasnt really tested he looked comfortable/confident on the ball. Also it felt like he had a good presence on the field

Crowther is the better shot-stopper but Paston organises his defence better so he doesn't have to make the saves.
Sorry, just has to slip that in there.
How many people have anyone honestly seen enough of Crowther to make a call between them?

I'd expect that whoever starts the CCM game will be a pretty good clue

For the wc it would be better to see paston start.
i wonder if RH would factor that in seeing that he is the AW coachd-diddy2009-07-21 14:17:22

Yer i know its the Nix but seeing as RH is the AW coach that could influence his choice.
I mean what national coach wouldnt want his GK playing regular games

So if Crowther's better he loans Pasty to Tee Dub then?

Crowther for me.
i saw him play at Porirua a few times.
he controls the box a lot better than Paston and he gives directions to the back 4 VERY LOUD and CLEARLY !!!

This is possibly the worst place to ask this question. 99% of this board extremely under-rate Paston. I have provided statistics that show in almost everyway Paston has played better then Moss yet they deny it by saying that you can concede alot of goals with the best defence and still be a good keeper. Stop making excuses Paston often had a weaker defence then Moss yet conceded less goals.
