No, nor I.
He's not local.
Evening all,
Went to the doctor today and twas confirmed I have Chicken Pox so I won't be there tonight which is a pity as I won't be around for the other two home games we have left.
I'll be all wrapped up at home though and chanting/singing along if I pick you guys up on the broadcast while cursing the damned spots and things (oh well, better to have it at 16 than at 80).
UP THE NIX!

Amped like a mofo for tonight. For all the promise, for all the
hype, and for all the love we've given them this year, nothing
short of a flogging will do.
O Wellington, is wonderful...

A flogging? I'll be happy to just take three points.
Perth have looked pretty good in attack for their last few
games. We will need to be alert for corners and other set
pieces. Harnwell had Melbourne crapping themselves for every
corner.

aaaarrrrgggghhhhh, prepare for a tale of woe
just found my retro ricki - in the wash basket!!
aaarrrrghhhh
moral dilemma - look good(ish) and smell appalling
or
feel naked but smell something like a human?
Oh the scourge of fashion and peer-pressure,
but as cantona forever would no doubt say "don't be a sheep" (and if you must, keep a wary eye on that Perth supporter who's following behind!)
enough of the this demented rambling - into the Batmobile and to the game!!!!!!!!!

That 2nd goal was OFFSIDE!....f**king Bollocks!....And if you say
it wasnt your f**king blind! Was passed in and he was past the last
defender....Should have been called offside.
Apart from that you guys deserve to be infront.
That was a penalty and a red aswell IMO - First look was a
penalty and a yellow then on 2nd look it was definately a
red.

PPS: Critical Lemon,
Sorry about the Chicken Pox...that sounds crappy to have as an adult.
Don't you have to watch out for getting your "junk" too hot with fever symptoms which may result in sterility? Or is that another childhood disease?
Anyway, don't itch them!Sec1382007-12-07 21:40:00

I just re-watched it and paused it when the ball was crossed.
Felipe was behind the ball when it was crossed. If you're behind
the ball when it is passed you are ONSIDE.

Awesome game last night. Even the guy that was by himself in the
yellow fever zone with his perth glory flag...LOL....Another chappy
took his shirt off over by aisle 26 and shoot up waving it around.
Very Classey. What I want to know is what happened to our
great wellington chanter with the liverpool shirt on. He was
sitting not too far from us then went over to the yellow fever
zone. Last time I saw him was in the YF zone with security
guards there. Not sure of what his name is, Did he get kicked
out? How rude..... He is our chanting mascot over where we
sit and we always join in. What is with the security guards
checking our tickets when we go to the food outlets or the bloody
toilet.....Strange....

He was chucked out for discarding a bottle in an aerial
fashion.
Ticket checks take place in Aisles 21 & 22 after the bottle throwing incident v CCM a few weeks back - to ensure people are sitting where they should and can be held accountable if there is any trouble.

the replay, quite clearly onside.
Felipe might be offside... I'm not sure though. Touch and go.

played.

Nah I was with a nux supporter, but not many people noticed
that...
They just saw me in purple and thought I was here on my own,
which I would have been. But had booked this when the fixtures had
come out and fitted in nicely with the end of uni...
Will be hard not to make it an annual trip...

The scouser had some classic chants, too bad he got kicked

Quite interesting reading this thread over again. seeing peoples
hopes and expectations. And now after the result and 3 points for
us and how it panned out. And yes there was a sole Perth fan here.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Very late here's some Friday night rambles... not from aisle 27
(we've moved) but aisle 24.
Before match four of us, who used to play together, bumped in to each other for the first time since 1981. There seemed to be loads of the recognisable football family about. Seemed to be handshake city!!
Big up to the 'kid' behind us. TEN years old AT MOST and he knew his football.
Best moment. second goal. Me and Bill on our feet. My dad sat down arms raised with a huge grin, and Pippa SCREAMING. As she later said "I didn't know what else to do."
Comedy moment. Pippa thought the chcocolate in her cookie needed softening. Solution? ten minutes under her arm pit...
Post match. Any chance DANIEL'S ball lost to the stadium roof gods will ever by seen again?
Daniel then took off his socks. The lucky teen next to us was given one. Our friend Pippa chased after her and said "wait I need to smell it.." WTF.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Hey guys. Have been busy lately. But just wanted to thank everybody
in Wellington for making the journey such a great experience,
really was one of the best days of my life and I hope to be back
next season, if at all possible.
The welcome was unbelievable, hopefully both clubs get into
the finals in 2008/09, thanks for losing against Melbourne this
weekend!
