I can see a total of six to seven goals from both sides in this game. Neither teams defence particularly flash.

Maybe if it's a drastic comeback win for us, Ron Smith might be spared? Followed by a Perth vitcory the next week?

Meh, stuff him, FORZA PHOENIX!

RadioSport and it quoted the gaffer saying that Old is good and has played against Brazil, just wasnt so sure if I heard correct with "dental" problems

Yes, lots of goals. Maybe more than 6. Which would be a nice new record for the A-League.

We're pretty short on defenders then. Only two centrebacks.

I'll happily fly over to Perth if Ricky wants to sign me as injury cover.

What do you mean ' two centre backs". We're talking about Steven Old here! Sorry, I'm feeling cynical. Most dental problems can be fixed pretty readily, get ODor to a dentist for Goodness sake. Our strikers had better score at least three to give us a chance.

On the news page we have O'Dor predicting the game will have an avalanche of goals.  How confident are you when one of your central defenders comes out with that?  Maybe the dental problems was Ricky whacking him one in the chops?

haha yea i saw that, surely as a central defender you have to have more common sense than predicting a goal fest - even if you and the rest of the nation are thinking it

could these 'dental problems' be a smokescreen for a near future "thanks for everything, dont call us, we'll call you..."?

if it comes down to it put Ross in CB...even Brown would prob be alright

He's 21 - probably getting his wisdom teeth pulled.. painful stuff.. plus he'd be like a zombie defender all zonked out on drugs.... also.......

his dribbling would be all over the place....

bahahaha.

okay that was lame.

I think I've read somewhere that Perth vs Wellington is the 2nd longest trip in the world for a national champioship. The longest trip is, surprise surprise, in Russia.. I don't want to pick any result. I just want the Nix to win!!!

I think Ricky rates O'dor  - so I'd be surprised if there was anything 'sinister' going on

Having said that, things have sure changed since the 60/70's when dental problems for people like Nobby Stiles and Joe Jordan meant finding some where to spit the pieces of their broken teeth before the ball came back into play!

I see the TAB is sponsoring the Fever now. Here are a few of the odds for tonight's game.
NZ Football gets at least 1 cent for every dollar you bet on football matches plus 5 cents in every dollar profit the TAB makes on football.
4+ goals in the match looks pretty short at $2.90.

Head to head

Perth Glory $2.20

Wellington Phoenix $3.00

Draw $3.20

Half time/ Full time

Perth/Perth $3.85

Perth/Wellington $28.00

Perth/Draw $14.00

Wellington/Perth $25.00

Wellington/Wellington $5.50

Wellington/Draw $14.00

Draw/Perth $5.00

Draw/Wellington $6.00

Draw/Draw $5.00

Total Goals in match

0-1 goals $4.20

2-3 goals $1.92

4+ goals $2.90

Goal start

Perth -1 goal $4.70

2 Wellington +1 goal $1.65

3 Handicap Draw $3.50

i'm picking 3-2 to our boys
It'll be a close one but Smeltz will slot one in the 76th min to take the win. Top right corner.
The defence will work together and the ref will make a shocking decision sending Aloisi off, but that only makes us stronger.

Thats my prediction anyway
