I don't think we've been as bad as last week, the passing seems to be a hell of a lot better. Half the defenders are still MIA when Perth have the ball though.

We've looked alright at times going forward, but decidedly shaky at the back. They've had a few 1 on1s, a couple of missed sitters, and the Nix will consider themselves lucky not to be further behind.Our best chance was Ifill's shot being cleared off the line after Velaphi fumbled.

Has Daniel done better than Leo so far? Don't think so
His delivery has been much, much more threatening, and he's already done a lot more in 35 minutes than Leo did in 90 last week.

can we not just pass it to feet, up the middle and take a shot, PLEASE. all we have is a hopefull long ball which never works, ffs, mix it up a bit.

Er, it was 2v1 because Siggy rushed up and was in Perth's half when the ball was played
Hearfield did well to get back
Just got the replay on mysky paused now. Siggy is moving to close Fowler down who still has his back to goal. Hearfield is inside the centre circle, ball watching, and walking towards the centre of the field and towards the Perth goal. At the bottom of the shot, the Perth winger is starting his run about 15m outside of Hearfield, who is completely oblivious.
Looking it this, I will say it is impressive how quick Troy is to turn and give chase and make it back. Should never have happened in the first place though.

While I disagree with Mike on Lochhead, I agree Daniel is providing more than Leo did last week. Mainly because I think Daniel is a bit more central, but he is getting on the ball.

To be fair, its mostly you thats posted about Lochhead, but I would nominate Hearfield, Lia, Brown, and possibly even Mac and Greenacre who have been invisible. Not saying he is playing well, just don't think he is deserving of the 'worst on park' tag.
We will probably have to agree to disagree on this though.

I wonder whether Aloisi is a bit jealous because when he played for us we were pretty average, and instead now we're a much better team. He has been involved in a couple of game commentaries and I am yet to hear him say a good thing about the Nix. You'd think he'd show a bit of sympathy, but no.
Actually no, nzpower, he had lots of positive things to say about us last season, especially on Fox Sport FC. Ross is generally very intelligent in his comments about all teams but isn't the type to sugarcoat the pill.
