Tim Payne would have been top if we had signed him as a 16 yo.

I'm surprised at that table. Ifill, Greenacre and Brown really are our strikers..... No one else even gets within a cooey. I'm also surprised that D-Mac put 7 away and Dadi had 5. On how many games?

T-Payne wouldn't have needed to play. The table would have bowed to him and put him on top such is his awesomeness for a 16yo.

Table highlights one of the weaknesses in Leos game IMHO. Poor return for an attacking midfielder

If he was a central attacking midfielder, fair play, but when you are glued to a touchline....

Agreed to an extent, but he is far from glued to the sideline. Usually adopts a slighty more central role (or at least should) when attack comes down opposite wing.

He has played around 70 games for us now, and one  goal every 10 games is less than it should be.

Macallister got 7 in 15 games, Dadi got 5 in 10 games.

Im well aware of this, comment was directed at the fact that Ifill will, imo, be top of the list before too long.

Quick make him an honorary Wellingtonian (for life).

Pity he isn't Spanish.

I can see that Leo will take every 35m+ free kick and Tim will be shooting from halfway every time now.

He runs down the touchline delivering most of our crosses. That at least cuts him out half the time. Plus he takes our set pieces, further limiting his goalscoring chances.

What you say doesn't make a lot of sense.

Again I disagree, while I am not saying he should be a leading scorer, he certainly should be scoring more than he does. He gets a number of shooting oppotunities Nix website states he has had over 160 shots on goal in his career, less than half on target mind you, so that is only one goal for every 20 shots he is taking. Compare that to Ifills 20 goals from 180 shots on goal. I am not bagging what he does as a wde midfielder other than the fact he should be scoring more than he does.

He has half the goal scoring success rate per shot than ifill. Got a better comparison than our leading goalscorer?

I also don't completely buy into that stat as ifills shots are more likely to be from better positions. But it at least gives a little insight if used correctly.

If his shots are from such bad positions, perhaps he should not be taking them?

Even compare Daniel 5 Goals from 70 odd attempts.

The number of shots he takes indicates he gets in a scoring position, just his converssion rate is too low

Daniel probably is a better comparison.

Maybe ricki will bench greenacre so he can dedicate his time to teaching leo shooting. Am sure he knows of a few awesome drills.

A better stat to judge him on however is assists.

So Brown scoring at roughly a goal every 4.5 matches?

That's so rubbish! Ricki should drop him!

With Leo, we knew when we signed him he wouldn't score many. In two years with Perth he managed one off his shin. When he has been central, he's shown he's a sh*t finisher (miss against Roar comes to mind when he was playing striker). No one really expects him to score, but he has consistantly been our best (if not one of our best) assist providers.

Any chance of an all time assists list Piney? I'd guess Leo, Lochhead and Daniel would be top three.

Horrific goalscoring record for both Daniel and Bertos considering how long they've been around.

Kind of makes you wonder why Durante bothers going up for corners - I wonder what the corners per goal number is ? Five corners per game (?) = 410 corners per goal.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)
