I remember his two great moves. The first crashing backwards into the defender and on to his arse, the 2nd the header a foot off the ground which somehow was done near standing up trying to keep the ball in.
What he did was good entertainment anyway

Don't see it.  All the news is about the AW's, our form isn't grand and Napier U19's will take a few (players, admin, family, spectators).

Season low I'm calling.

Three of the Fever ringleaders will be in Napier for example.

Same Labour weekend fixture last year we got 6,543.

That was when super leo missed that last minute goal against the roar.

Probably @ Firecats (or similar) watching the game.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Colleague and her partner will be attending (1st game this season) so that's +2.

I think around 7500 will show... hoping for more though but unlikely.

And please don't remind me of Bertos' miss that was truely awful.

Bloody Hell I just read through this thread, with some of the formations and suggestions for strikers being bandied about can we rename it the LSD thread of something?

And that matters to who exactly?

I think it was an example that a lot of 'football people' will be away.  Either that, or because these people are away all the followers of their cult won't show.  Take your pick which.

I was merely using that as an example of why I think it might be a smaller crowd.  If three of the group that run this place are away then you can possibly extrapolate that among the Wellington football fraternity and therefore the Phoenix spectator base.

But by all means, read something else in to it (damned if I can figure out what)....

No trips away for me so I shall be there. Looking forward to a Sunday on the lash without any work on Monday.

I think the weak link in the GCU side is Rees.  On Sunday against Perth he played Howarth onside for the Perth goal, pulled down Jelic for what should have been a penalty, looked nervous every time he got the ball and turned slower than me (well, nearly).

Isolate him (admittedly that's difficult as Thwaite often takes up a position in and around him and the other CB) and run at him. Ifill and Leo in particular.

van den Brink ain't that clever either, and van Stratten can flap.  I think defensively they are one of the comps weaker sides, but stopping the attack is a whole different question.

Yeah.  Can't see that ending badly.

Hopefully he'll have enough sense and respect to avoid that.

Thankfully, he seems to have stopped doing that....he didn't do it on Sunday when he scored against Perth.

Arshavin still does it for Arsenal....who exactly is he "shooshing"?

Depends whether or not I've just spent $28 watching a carbon copy of the last 6 matches.

Same outcome, and pretty much the same pattern of play. Good first half, poorer second, draw.

Yes, on the 25th.

Then away for Sydney, then back for Midweek Mayhem.
