Just come back from my lunch break, did not see one Retro Ricki being worn. Even robbwatson decided to adorn his Bay of Plenty rugby jersey instead of The Chosen Garment today.

C'mon lads!

You're working... I wondered why you were on here so much.

I will point out one thing.  Have you seen any Wellington Rugby gear around town ?  They play tonight and I've seen nothing, Lambton, the Terrace and my work, not one.  That is VERY unusual.

(I'm having my First non-Phoenix Friday in 6 months)

talking of lack (as in -  not any, f'in good job too) rugby shirts (apart from Robbs ), there was a thing on morning report this am, talking about that rugby team

the journo mentioned the Phoenix effect and the rugby wallah tried to pretend he hadn't said anything about the NIX!

am going to wear my nix beanie and  am weighing up whether to wear my nix top or my everton jersey   to the rugby tonight   to wind my mates up who would always turn up at the R.O.F wearing  either a hurricanes beanie  or an all blacks top

If you really wanted to wind up your rugby supporting mate, you'd stand him up...

There's no such bloody thing as an off season for the Fever.

I wonder what would happen if the Yellow Fever Army just turned up in their masses at a Hurricanes match and chanted the whole game...

We've had this discussion and I said 'over my dead body'.  Go, enjoy the Rugby, but do NOT use the Fever name for another sport (please).

i was thinking we could just do our usual chants, and ignore what was going on on the pitch :)

throw in a "we're here to (we'd rather) watch the football" every so often and we're set.

I agree with HN, the FEver is for the Nix - I'd rather see the crowds not going to wacth rugby and saving their penny's for the nix season - if the fever (god forbid) turned up to a thugby game then we'd be more entertaining than the game itself.

yeah that was my point - think of it as a stunt type thing, though a hypothetical one as I have no plans to go to the rugby :)

i'd find it hard to sing as the rugby would induce an overwhelming desire either to throw up, or slit my f**king wrists

let them come to us if they want to experience a worthwhile sport's fan event

can't be arsed watching the rugby, i'm sure there's something on the Living channel  that's more interesting

but good on Adam if he's waving the Nix flag at the Ring of Fire while the Neanderthals are proving Darwin right with the last decades of their 'sport'
