I heard a rumour that Deano (also know as Dean Windass) was on the radar. Those who know him know how good he is.
Could be tricky getting him here. Aren't there regulations which stop you flying once you get past a certain age?

all bias aside, i'm not convinced he'd be the ideal replacement for smeltzy (he's more skillful, harder, but clearly lacks a yard of pace and might not be willing to put in a shift closing down the opposition back four)
i'd quite like to see him bump a few aussies over though

Rumor has it that Coveny will return to Melbourne at the end of the season to either play in the VPL or take up a coaching role there.
I hope he does. He deserves something because he seems like a jolly nice bloke.

They'd both fit in very nicely.
I agree with Hay. Rufer would be a good assistant or coach but too old to play at a-league level, he struggled in the NSL, suppose he could stand in the middle third somewhere and put some genius balls through though.They'd both fit in very nicely.

Yeah I also hear Queensland are going to do it with Moore. FFA need to fix this or we need to atleast start doing it

He was going to sign for Cardiff before Rovers gave him a chance to play in the top flight again, I guess maybe after how badly he played for us, that they might not want him now. High profile yes, but if he does sign I dont think he will be banging them in for them.
