CCM in pretty good nick - lost their last game 2-1 to MV, but 3 wins and a draw in the 4 matches before that.
Phoenix have a pretty good record against CCM - played 11, won 5, drawn 2, lost 4 (three of which were in season one).
Before the 3-0 loss in Wellington earlier this season, CCM hadn't scored in 7 straight games against the Phoenix.
McGlinchey among their best this season - hasn't missed a minute. They have a pretty settled side - 10 players have played in 18 or more of their 21 games.
CCM also set to announce Perth striker Michael Baird as a new signing today.

Hope riki has got the 4-4-2 off the bench option sorted, i think if we fall behind or are chasing a late winner a switch to 2 strikers would be a very positive one.
Although I did like that sub last night, Leo for Lia, with Leo to play out wide and Ward in preferred central position. That was a good attacking sub.

For us - same line-up, same bench.
I think we have what we have been missing most of the season - a settled line-up and, very importantly, confidence and self belief. A big ask to back up after the physical demands of last night but it's a 4 day break - it could have been worse (3 days) and Gosford isn't the most taxing away venue to travel to.
I think CCM will be without Kwasnik (suspended ?) who has been on a bit of a scoring roll.
With Manny back in the midfield I think we could be good for a point and, with a bit of luck, we could nick a win.

For me I would play north at RB, don't mess with our CB pairing now in my opnion.
Im actually not too happy with our bench. I was to begin with, but realised we probably could have done with one player who could have played a bit further back. Even just a CM cover.

In true Phoenix style, we have to rise for this game. We've come off some good home wins but then failed to back up away from home the next game.
We owe them after they came in to the ROF and inflicted a heavy 3-0 loss that IMO flattered them a little (remember Kwasnik's goal was perhaps offside).

I thought Leo looked much better than in recent weeks in his 13 minute stint. He actually ran at a defender and got past him, used him pace and got a cross in, more than he has done recently.

if leo is persisting with playing with his injury then a bench spot could be perfect for him, no need to worry about lasting an hour or so, just come on for between 5 and 25 minutes and give it a real crack. Potentially could be excellent from the bench - Daniel is great for us in that way sometimes

Yeah when north is back I would have him benched initially for one of Leo or Daniel.
Probably wouldnt be bad at RB and Disco on the bench, covering practically everywhere on the field
But I guess the bench is fine the way it is, Musa could have a look in I feel, just so we have someone covering a position thats not the front three. Even someone like shudder Diego, could be good for midfield cover. On second thought, anyone but Diego for meplaywithFire2011-01-07 16:48:40

I suppose if we have an injury to a defender then Manny would move back into one of the full back roles and another winger or striker is brought on and we go to a kind of 4-4-2? I'd imagine that's probably Ricki's thinking when naming such an attacking bench.
Although with both Danial and Leo on the bench there would definitely be room for either Musa, Troy or North to be there. Realistically though, a completely unchanged side would be expected considering Ricki's usual modus operandi
