I'm neither a fan of waves during the match - or the "Stand Up" tbh (and at most there should only be 1 stand up per game)

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

In my mind the "stand up" and "shirts off" should be a 10 minutes to go things. Those keen then shirts off, those not then just stand up. I know the zone is always standing but it gets the rest of the crowd in to it a bit more for the last 10. Aim should be to keep the crowd standing as there is often a lull post "stand up".

Its no longer a problem.

Very awesome.

You can't quite hear it on there, but when Dura gives the mike to Troy for 'we've got the wind, the rain and the Phoenix', Troy wass either too pissed or didn't know the words, it was v funny. I'm picking too pissed in his case.

I think Rickys reponse of "We'll see" to the question about having to leave 1 of Sigmund or McKain out is interesting...

maybe reading too much into it - could he be thinking about bringing keeping Sigmund in CB and bring McKain into CDM instead of ... (Lia ?)

I don't think Lia has been that bad- if he is a poor passer of the ball, then Chips can only be described as woeful. Manny/Timmy have been fine- I'd expect to see Chips and Dura reunited this weekend, Siggy the unlucky man to sit on the bench.

I agree re Lia - discounting last weeekend where Lia had a poor game by his standards, he is generally good passing and 'sees' more than many.

Sydney are good 1 - 2's / give and go throught the middle and around edge of penalty area  thought having both Siggie and McKain along with Muscat may nullify that a bit. Brown gets so far forward it's hard to think of him as a defensive mid and we know he can oput them away so it does retain our attack though - as you point out may limit us turning defence into attack with some pin point passes without Lia.

Dunno - not suggesting would just seemed a cagey response from Ricky.

Can't drop Lia.. he's a big part of our huge season. Sigmund will most likely miss out.

very confused that Lia's passing is an issue whilst Tony Lochead is in the side.
I'd go so far too say as it beggars belief.

Any news on Caceras?

I assume that he will not be here in time for the game. Not too worried about that unless Ifill has more problems with his knee.

IMO Daniel in his present form would be ahead of Caceras anyway. I thought he was immense on Sunday...easliy his best game for ages. Some of those long passes to Ifill were Beckam-ish. Also his corners and crossing were way better than anyone elses. Those flat dipping corners were very accurate....much better than Leo's. Ifill praised Daniels contribution in his interview on TV1...probably because he was getting some accurate passes for a change.

To beat Sydney we will need to be much much more accurate than against the Jets. We had over 25 shots on goal....we will get hardly any against Sydney so the ones we get they will have to be on target. In tight games like this our chances to score will be few.

Same on defense....Sydney will not waste the sort of chances that the Jets missed. You just cannot let guys get one on one with the goalie. McCain will tighten that up.

Surprisingly with Troy the Nix'd line up more succesfully across the back than the AW's...

Daniel over Caeceres for me and seriously, I'd say Lia is 3rd on the team sheet atm after Ifill & Durante. Lately his form has been excellent.

Was thinking that actually, haha. Think that it could actually work. Is obviously a bit too defensive though and we don't have the big strikers up front for it to work (except Dadi, who comes across as bit of a lazy sod)

Doesn't play to our strengths either which is Leo/Daniel and Ifill down the wings (too bad no one gets on the end of them most of the time)

btw ^ think that Lia wasn't that great against Newcastle to be honest. Passing wasn't to his usual standard and he tired quicker than Brown.

I can't believe there are people on here knocking the Mexican wave.
I thought the point of YF was greater crowd participation.

You're effectively saying:
"Yes, you can enjoy yourselves, but only in the way we want you to"

Get off your high horse!
Agreed. Not a fan of the wave but if people want to do it then why the f**k not? Gets the old folks involved etc.

I feel that all the 'stand up' and the bloody awful mexican wave should be retained for those who are either bored or else only turn up when its a big game. were here to watch football(not soccer) for christsakes
