Whats the best way to get to the park?

Permalink Permalink

Off at Porirua, right across the roundabout (back over the motorway) then follow Mungavin Ave to the right (by the Shell).

You can't miss the lights of the park on your right.

Do a Goodle maps search for Mungavin ave, wellington and you it will take you there.

How's my driving? - Whine here

It is Krishna vs Corrales hit out tonight acc to Ricki in the Herald

""Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert says the pair have impressed in training, but they will get one last chance in a game situation tonight. He says hopefully they will get as close as possible to 90 minutes together.

Herbert hopes both do well but says at this stage they are only likely to sign one.""

Looking forward to hearing how you hardy souls see their chances

0-0 half time.

Could be worse I suppose.  Must say I'm leaning towards Krishna if we only sign one striker, but both wouldn't be the end of the world, they're class players.

Not exactly banging in the goals though are they?

For me, they should be showing they are THE big stars at that level (and I know they are) and at least getting a goal. Still, 45 to go.

So Phoenix can't score a goal in 45 minutes against Miramar who have conceded 20 goals in 8 matches against central league teams. Thats bloody rubbish. Surely the Phoenix would be dominating a team like Miramar and its not bad conditions tonight either. If Gold Coast smash the team they play in there friendly and Smeltz dominates the score sheet then this is very poor. Im sure Gold Coast were playing a better oppostion as well! Last chance trials for Krishna and Correles and others trying to impress. Not happy.

Tawa v Phoenix next week anyone.

2 - 0.

First goal a reverse Maradona - Hand Ball into own net.

Second goal scored by a trialist. Don't know which one though.

Possibly same trialist as last week? Who was that?

First goal was off a handball (Probably would have gone in anyway)

And second goal was a beatiful goal from Costa

Bertos with the corner. Possibly McKain with the shot (header)

Hmmmmm..went to match for half first half andf half second half..had to get back for House  Costas goal was very good..a deliberate inside flick of the boot from the right edge of the box that left the keeper with no chance...he is way better IMHO than either of the striker triallists.  I woulnt have either of them unless they are backup to Greenacre and Costa.  Too light weight I think for A league.  Hope the two Euros are strikers....

In that case this is quite embarassing.  We can't even use the excuse that half the team were triallists.

Think it was McKain's header for the first goal, but not 100%. Costa with the second.

Line-up in first half:

Paston
Mulligan
McKain
Durante
Lochead
Muscat
Daniel
Plodder
Mystery Trialist
Luis
Krishna

Leo, Costa, Disco Troy, Brown, Ferrante, Lia and another mystery trialist all played in the second half.

Krishna and  Corrales only played in the first half. The trailist who played up front with Costa in the 2nd half was better than both of them.

A dog with a bone :)

Sounds poor compared with how GCU were hammering their local opposition. Sydney FC however have been getting similar results against local Sydney teams.

No goals from Krishna and Corrales then...don't let the door handle hit your bum on the way out chaps....
