Gao and Bertos for me followed by Daniel for energy amd knowing how to score...and over celebrate.

I hope Kwasnik gets on soon..I want someone to have shot from the edge of the box for a change.  Overpassed in that area generally...but it looked good elsewhere.  Roll on the next games......

Wouldn't mind swapping Dodd with Richard Johnson/Tim Brown just to see how that shapes up, Tim Brown is the one I'd be more inclined to put in as Johnson may not have the pace anymore at 33/34.  Dodd needs to work on his passing and distribution and not fly in to tackles at times but as someone to just be a pain in the ass to the opposition midfield and disrupt play for them as much as possible he did well.

Gao did tend to neglect defensive duties on the odd occasion but its just one game and hopefully he'll do better. Daniel was absolutely magnificent, really one of his best games for us. He dominated the attacking third, left right and center, and its only natural that he got the goal. CCM looked totally lost in terms of trying to deal with our combinations up front. Gao's and Bertos's runs were beautiful football. Wasn't too worried with our full backs not getting up too much, we were creating enough in the opposition half and in that case its safer for them to stay back. Hearfield got caught too far up on a couple of occasions and I was more impressed with Lia, that being said he wasn't tested too much.

Overall a bloody top performance!

The great thing about Daniel is that as well as being a wonderful talent to watch he scores goals. He is generally pretty clinical inside the box and thanks to his height is also pretty handy in the air (this is the most underrated facet of his game in many respects). I also think that once Dodd gets a feel for DM he will probably realize that he doesn't need to play many long balls, just give the thing straight to Ferrante. Why? because that is what Makalele would do.

good time at 4 Kings after. Band are awesome - sung the Fever/YF anthem. Nix players are great guys. Some of them were there - very approachable.

Bertos played really well, was all over the park and certainly had the most chances to score in the first half, Gao made some aweseome plays as well.

I think we looked very good on attack in the first half and Bertos especially was taking shots when he got the chance, it was only in the second half that we started getting trapped in that frustrating game of ping pong between our attackers that inevitably ended in CCM clearing the ball.

Just remember to take your shots lads and we'll be fine.

Durante for mashaling the defence. Bertos would have had a chance if he was able to shoot heh.

CCM definitely missed a trick not pounding down our right flank, especially once Hearfield came on.

That's because the guy that used to shaft us down our right when we played the Central Coast is now playing for us.

Dodd hoofed a bit too much ball away, but defended well. I enjoyed watching his battle with Macalister, who incidentally appeared to be a massive unit. What chance a headline "El**ch, Macalister in all night pie-eating binge".

Petrovksi ain't no shrinking violet either and a fair chance they may sign Bosnich as well.  Hence the name of this poll.

I say Daniel. Though Bertos had a great game and showed his skills, Daniel played very well, was a threat everytime and defended a lot too.
Plus he scored the winner - and you gotta give him credit for that!

But hey, I say Daniel, Bertos, Smeltz, McKain, Gao and Durante all played an outstanding game!

Was it Petrovski who showed us that the score was 2-1 last year using his fingers? Petrovski is a cnut (apologies cnut).

Bosnich knows how to keep the weight down (but I guess he's off it now and it's showing):
