This is the total amount of votes they got through out the season through MoM polls. Note that our first loss against Perth did not have a MoM poll.

Goalkeepers
Moss - 205
Paston - 39

Defenders
Sigmund -167
Dodd - 123
Muscat - 78
Lochhead - 49
Durante - 35
Mulligan - 1

Midfielders
Bertos - 188
McKain - 170
Hearfield - 105
Brown - 91
Ferrente - 83
Gao - 44
Daniel - 43
Christie - 13
Johnson - 8
Fred - 7

Forwards
Smeltz - 110
Barbarouses - 56
Kwasnik - 15
Coveny - 14
Draper - 0

Surprisingly Moss had the most votes (probably due to his flashy saves which seem to appeal more to people not his actual good performances) and beat out the likes of Sigmund, McKain and Bertos who were probably far more deserving.

Team of the Season:
                    Moss
Muscat Sigmund Dodd Lochhead
     Bertos McKain Brown Hearfield
            Barbarouses Smeltz

Wouldn't a 3-2-1 scoring system be more accurate?

This isn't even close to fair

ive got a song that wont take long, Adelaide are rubbish.. the second verse is same as the first.. ADELAIDE ARE RUBBISH

especially given some of those votes were clearly placed to create comment. I think a  3,2,1 system would be much better!

Is that counting all the joke votes?

Three for me, and two for them.

So you are saying that in the 2 games that Costa played, he wasn't far off Manny Muscat and just destroyed Durante and had he played another 2 games, been as good as Smeltz....???

I feel a Tui ad coming on.

Take each poll and 3,2,1 it man.

Yeah I am surprised that Bertos beat him quite easily.

He was pretty consistent and would have played more games. But yeah the gap is pretty huge

Hearfield was one of the fans top 4?

Quite surprising given I thought Hearfield only turned in a few good performances.

Yes I found this surprising though he did have a string of good performances. (e.g the two latest games vs Newcastle.)

Yep, I question the validity of this poll.

We need a poll.

To say what?

Meh.  Fever player of the season will be awarded in the same fashion as last year based on points accumulated from these polls (not total votes).

If you want to know who won it you better keep Grand final night fee to come to the Fever awards.

You still can't let the Moss/Paston thing go can you?

I would have thought the fact that Melbourne signed Moss over Paston would have spoken enough...

According to the A-League Smeltz is the best player in the league. JW Medal. What the f**k? I'm happy for him but seriously that is a joke.

Oh and Breeze wins ref of the year.

Yes that he was a cheaper option for reserve keeper.

Seriously I am going to laugh next year at you guys when Melbourne are conceding heaps of goals but you guys will just blame the Melbourne defence just like you blamed our defence this season.

What did Mossy do to piss you off WPF? Seriously.

Three for me, and two for them.

Nothing just some people on these forums overrate him. Yet no matter the statistics I provided they then started blaming our defence. But you have to ask why our defence played better under Paston then.

They did, but I said why did he concede more goals and yet make more saves then Paston? (This was at the time statistics) They replyed that not every goal was his fault so blamed it on the defence. I said basically then why does the defence play better under Paston? Then they just continued saying the goals were not his fault etc.
