Bad taste left in mouth, but I guess Sydney outplayed us.

Reddy 7.5  Some very good saves, as usual
Troy 5 Caught in the wrong place, and poor crosses
Dura 8 Almost single handed in defence at times
McKain 6.5 Got better , but not his best
Lochie 5.5 Caught out several times, crosses not v effective
Timmy 5.5 Anonymous for a lot of the game
Lia 7 Contributed well
Manny 6 A bit overrun by the fast moving Sydney strikers
Leo 6 Worked hard, but rarely got through where he could do damage
Ifill 6 A couple of great moments, but had few opportunities
Greenie 6 Prevented by some fab Colossimo defending from scoring a header
Daniel 6 LOst the ball, leading to a goal, provided the cross (I think) for Dadi
Dadi 6 Took his chance
Diego ?

Overall, we weren't up to our best, and we had to be to have a chance, but chasing the game through a cheating goal undid us big time.

What do you think?

I was a bit disappointed with Lia last night.  He gave away a tonne of ball.

He also could have been yellow carded about three times.

Reddy 6 - couldn't have done much more, but still conceded 4 goals, hence the 6
Hearfield 5 - some poor passing gifting possession away, not the only one
Lochhead 6 - should've been stronger at the first goal after recovering from being posted missing
Durante 7 - good goal. Possibly could've made a challenge at 3rd goal
McKain 7 - can't remember him doing too much wrong?
Lia 6 - average performace
Brown 5 - not really involved for the most part
Muscat 6 - see Lia / Brown ratings / comments
Bertos 5 - final ball very poor, lost possession too many times
Ifill 5 - an off night for him. Poor final ball, and gave the ball away too many times
Greenacre 6 - battled away but never really had a chance all night

Subs

Daniel 6 - should've been on earlier
Dadi 6 - decent goal
Diego 6 - actually looked ok when he came on

Lochhead a 3. Same for Hearfield too. I hope we get another left back option for next year!

I think a lot of our criticism of our wingbacks stems from the way we play - the lack of creativity in the middle means we rely a lot on them pushing forward and overlapping, a lot more than other sides, and this causes us to be caught out wide ourselves as they are pushing so far forward when we turn over easy ball.

I agree with regards to criticism of Lia.  He was poor and has been for the last month.

Football players have limitations, and our guys have them too.

It was just sad that they all seemed to be exposed last night.

No-one apart from Durante and Reddy played well.

I'd give Lia a 4, i was very surprised he wasn't taken off much earlier in the game

We lost it big time in the midfield last night and probably weren;t worth 10 between them....a definite need for next season...an expansive midfielder

Have to disagree.

He didn't have much of a sniff all night, but the two occasions he did he couldn't get the ball on target. He didn't move much in the box (the way Brown does) so that Colosimo was able to get in front of him and intercept the ball. Harsh perhaps, but he hasn't made space for himself and scored that I can recall this season, and had two good chances he should at least have got on target this time.

Would have been tempted to drag Brown for Diego. But didn't happen.

I thought Daniel was our best player. wanted the ball, didnt hide like the rest of the midfield. created a goal and was the only one who looked likely.

I feel sorry for him, he loves the club so much, and whenever he is shut out for a while is always fantastic when he gets back in, but always seems to be the first to be out of the picture again when a "better" option comes up. He's also had a fair few minor injuries, which may have but himout for 1-4 weeks-ish, but it takes months for him to find a gap to get back in again.
You know we belong together...

At this time, Daniel is a better option than Bertos. It's a pity that's the season over now though.

No one played up to their potential.
Maybe look at tatics, I think this was one of the reasons.
Normally most players would get a 7 but I thought most were below par.

Hearfield struggled mightily at the back.

Lia's passing was awful. Not convinced Dura had a particularly good game either, misread a couple of situations which cost us. But probably not all his fault since the fullbacks' performances seemed to have come from the David Mulligan school of playing the position.

yeah sadly we weren't the best team on the park, not helped by one incident, but we were plying catchup the whole first 30 anyway.

Queenslander 3x a year.
