Way to make us depressed and then give us shock treatment! Awesome second half Ernie's boys.

Mossy 7 After a shaky start, came into his own, saved a pen, pounced on another attempt
Boxy 5.5 Not as convincing today. Absent for their goal and looked a bit like a typical large defender charging around at times, but some good moments too
Siggy 7.5 Despite Ibini escaping his clutches for the goal, was terrific the rest of the game.
Dura 6.5 Didn't deserve a pen against him
Caira 6 Twice got the ball into the area that led to goals, defended quite well
Manny 7 Huge second half, first half not so strong
Lia 6 Steady
Kenny 7.5 Huge second half too, almost had a great header from Carlos's free kick too
Carlos 8 Class, what a goal.
Stein 6.5 They did a good job on him in the first half, but much better when playing a little deeper in second half
Tyler 6 Worked very hard.
Brockie 6 Nice goal, worked hard too
Ridenton 6 Slotted into the midfield well
Krishna 6 Wow, showed a glimpse of what he might become, actually used good body strength and pace to create trouble.

Ernie 9 Bloody amazing turn around from last week and even from the first half where they shaded us. Great to see him having fun with the fans. Totally deserves it.

Your opinion???

Would give Tyler a 7 instead. Created space for waffles.

Hard to summarize the ratings over the whole game because how we played in both halves was so different. Our mids were awful in that first half but completely bossed them in the second.

Agree with most of that.

I thought Caira looked like he is starting to come to grips with being an A-League player. He now has the confidence to get forward plus he does most things good on defense. He still has some way to go but you would be OK with him starting again next week. Boxall though looked out of sorts....

Not sold on Caira, always comes inside and yet to cross a ball despite always playing out wide... makes no sense. However he defends reasonably well and does make some good tackles.

Lia needs to be a 7, passed well last night and worked well with Manny to shore things up. It was his pass with the outside of the foot that found Waffles in space and let to his cross to Brockie. Great ball by him.

Blaming the goal on Boxall is also a little tough as it was lost by the mids in the center of the pitch under little pressure and he'd pushed up to be an option as expected.

After all the bagging (me included) Vinnie had a great game, and probably needs a bit more recognition for how he has turned his game around. Bloody marvellous my lovely boys!

Bump Mossy and Siggy up,

Mossy saved two certain goals at crucial times, the penalty and the shot onto the post.

Siggy was absolutely immense, was everywhere. Very close to my MOTM.

agree with the last part of this, wasn't Boxall's fault, Lia didn't pick Ibini up like he should have as Boxall was forward. If Lia is to get a 7 then so should Boxy

didn't Caira , cross the ball that deflected to Kenny for the first goal , also he came inside played to Manny who fed carlos for his goal ?

Impossible to rate on the first half, but Moss was MOM for me. (even though some blamed him for the goal) Saved a pen and a couple of great saves.

Go a step before any of this, it was Carlos who gave up the ball very needlessly.  That was the cause of the goal.

true, but if Lia and siggy had been doing their jobs it would never had been scored.

Fair calls about Moss, I was annoyed with him last week and am happy to see him doing much better.

Ibini has to be one of the worst players in the league yet he seems to like scoring against us.

+1
Think Boyd has offered a lot more pace and offered more for our play makers to work with than Brockie.

Think also CC were weak. If we play like that against other teams we will get found out. I think CC were good in parts, but in general off the pace.
