Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

What a gutting finale... Hard to be positive but I'll try and be balanced
Paston 7 Two crucial saves, did drop the ball twice but luckily noone close
Manny 6 Seemed to have his man covered till subbed
Dura 7 Looked commanding tonight for the most part, dunno why no midfielder was close enough to get to his block leading to the goal, assist for th goal
Siggy 6.5 Did a good job
Lochie 7 Some good overlapping runs kept Fury pinned back
Leo 7 Scored! A silly yellow. Who gave away that last free kick?
Brown 8 Box to box, good shot well saved.
Lia 6.5 Worked hard
Daniel 6 Blatant miss, but the keeper did well to get a vital deflection on it, almost scored with a header that he shouldn't have won
Ifill 8 Set up goal with beautiful chip, set up Daniel, always dangerous
Greenie 7 Again worked arse off, but not getting the chances coming his way.
Caceras 7 Looked good, beat his man.
Troy ? Not sure
Ferrante 4 Missed the winner (for us)

What do you think?

The team played well... really.

I think they're pretty spot on. Siggy 7? I think he was in charge of shutting up "god"

Caceras to be a good impact sub imo.

I think Paston and most of the defenders could go up .5

I'd give Troy a 4.

give troy a 1, just for running on the pitch. he did sh*t all.

Been reminded that he did do one decent long cross the field pass. But too many poor touches / passes I thought.

Caceres looks like he might be fun to watch from what I saw. Should have won either a free kick right on edge of box or a penalty when he went on one of his runs and got taken down.

agree with them all, Troy added little as did ferrante, think you'll find caceras, rojas and chen on the bench next week.

Queenslander 3x a year.

A point too many for both the Englismen I reckon. Not Ifill's best game: lost quite a bit of possession and didn't look himself, but tbf he may have been feeling a twinge in his hammy for some time.

Greenacre messed up badly near the end when he robbed the defender and for some inexplicable reason failed to pass to the unmarked Hearfield right in front of goal. His touch is pretty wooden too I regret to say,

Yep.  7 ifill and maybe 6.5 greeny.  Manny the other one I'd rate differently - thought he had a very good first half playing forward and on D and continued playing well till subbed. I'd give him a 7.

Thought Ifill was worth an 8. The setting up of that goal was fantastic by him. Did some really lovely work out wide too. You're right though, he did lose the ball more than he usually does.

I thought Lia played well. Deserves more than a 6.5

Ifil was class. Anyone know why he came off?? Assume he was injured.

I thought everyone was pretty solid (particularly in the 1st half). Would prob bump siggy up .5 but pretty much agree with the ratings

That seems to be rather a feature of this regular thread. Oi Oi: voice of the people!

At this rate if we ever get a win at home you guys are going to have to lift the rating to out of 20 as they seem to score really high when they get poor draws.

It was a poor draw in the result sense but performance was pretty good (excluding some of the finishing). Fury didn't really get a look in on goal until we sat back in the last 15 mins and we created a number of cahnces.

I actually think the fury matched us pretty well bar for the first 20 and even dominated large parts like the final 15 of the first half.

In the end all we deserved was the draw, despite it been a gutting 94th minute one. Thought Brown was excellent today, I have been impressed with him the last two weeks (normally i do not rate him that highly).

But we need to finish, Daniel's miss, Greeny shot instead of pass and Ferrante's and browns header, we need to be more clinical.

Yeh its easy to erase that disallowed goal of theirs from our memories, I guess they did kinda deserve a draw. groooaaaann

First half I would agree with what you have rated them at. But after the 2nd half I would have dropped them all under 5. If we can't bet a team like the Fury. then we got no chance of winning this comp.

That's the Fury team that hasn't lost in four games now and was desperately unlucky not to win two of those...?

at least ricki actually gave caceras enough time to be an impact player he played well but he should of come on for daniel earlier daniel just cant go for that long. But still im impressed with both caceras and greenacre man he works hard! a lot of yards off the ball we just need to get him more chances to net it!

I hate to be negative but I've never thought that we had a chance of winning the comp this year I did, however, think we had a fairly good shot at the playoffs and still think we can make it.

I would give Caceras a 6, he had some good touches, and he added some creative spark at the end.

The tackle on Carceras just outside the edge of the box was a clear free kick (the tackle was very late).

Ifill - 8 best player on the pitch

Greenacre - 7 because he has always got two markers (good for Iffy & Bertos

Muscat - 7 played a hard game at the back & midfield

Ref & Linos -5 need glasses and a timepiece

Fowler - 3 for bringing in the bloody scousers (don't you muppets know there is football in the
name of Phoenix & it's played in The Ring Of Fire)

in terms of 'the knowledge' you might have a slight advantage over us Stoppy - i hear they actually show A-league games on TV over there
