A much better result, although not totally convincing.

Pasty 8 a couple of crucial saves that in the end won the game
North 6.5 defended pretty well, pushed forward usefully at times
Siggy 6.5 solid, yellow card a shame
Dura 7 our rock
Troy 6 Good work in defence
Manny 5.5 started very well, but gave the ball away dangerously a few times
Timmy 6 linked well with Ifill
Lia 6 Some good passes, got too tight in that centre at times, need to spread it
Leo 6 earned a 6 because of a huge backtracking run that got in a vital tackle in the second half
Ifill 7 goals!! yes!
Daniel 5 Not really a lot of impact

Ward 6.5 some good tackles

What do you think??

Ifill 7.5 or an 8. Scored twice and gave his all, couldn't ask for too much more.

thoght daniel was solid, and didnt get enough service from hearfield. So started drifting inwards.
But hearfield was solid, needs to back his left foot. But impressed me a lot.

Yeh, pretty much right.

Great to see North and Hearfield have mistake free games and the back 4 grab a clean sheet.  Tho' not without several heartstoppers.

Helped by playing a side that largely looked slower than we are.

Agreed about Hearfield but not about Daniel! Thought he was mostly ineffective.

I'd bump Siggy up to a 7 definitely. That dribbling run forward in the 2nd half was the the kind of contribution that can spark a team into life - and it did. We were 1-0 up within minutes. Jade fans will celebrate but we will miss him at the back at the weekend.

Can Hearfield and North come right to propel us towards the finals....

I thought a 6 for Tim Brown was overly generous as he didnt do a lot

Pasty 8 A terrific first half and kept us in it
North 6.5 didn't do much wrong but didn't stand out as one of our best either
Siggy 7.5 terrific - got forward a few times in that 2nd half and defended well for most of the game. Partly to blame for letting Terra through the middle twice, though.
Dura 7 Good game again from Dura - still, let Terra through a little too easily
Troy 6 Kept diving into challenges and gave away a few silly free kicks - defended quite well considering he was playing left back though
Manny 5.5 Bit disappointed with Manny tonight. Lots of really bad touches that went straight to the Heart. Maybe you can say his presence helped Lia, though.
Timmy 5.5did a few good things but mostly anonymous. Heart didn't succumb to his attempts at high pressure most of the time.
Lia 6.5 The best of the midfield 3 tonight. Was his thinking that led to the first goal (was a bit lucky, though) and delivered a few good passes
Leo 6.5 Worked his ass off all game and beat players more than he has of late.
Ifill 7.5 Absolutely horrid first half but a great 2nd. Tackled, pressured, score goals.
Daniel 5 Anonymous - gave the ball away quite often

yeah browny does dissapear for big chunks of games. But always pops up when it matters, whether its carrying the ball, or scoring. I think perhaps he doesn't really move into the space to recieve a pass, rather trys to open it up for other players? not sure if thats the case, but he does hover around that mid third on defense alot.

thought the lads all did pretty well....reckon you all being a bit harsh to daniel, given he's not started in ages and usually gets 5 minutes at the end of a game we've already lost I actually thought he played well....he wasn't getting a lot of the ball, the attacks we lead by Leo, probably due to Troy operating on a "get the ball the f**k away from me" mentality - which worked btw. Manny had a few poor touches but his blocking in front of the defensive 4 was awesome. Brown was solid, but still not at his best...

The distance between Durante and Sigmund was a bit large at some stages, this left big gap in front of goal, not exploited by MH.

Pretty solid all over, thought Daniel was poor, falling over, giving ball away. While he has not statred much he has had a fair bit of time on the park, usually at least 20 mins. Brown was good at times, but thought he almost butchered Ifills goal as he could / should have taken the ball a little further. He released the ball early without committing a defender which allowed them to drift off and very nearly close down ifill. Manny was good and at times bad, but on the whole, it was good to see him back in front of the back four.

I think Ricki did some good choices with the change of players positions and the dropping (temporarily?) of others to shore up the D, freeing Ifill to be the last touch and getting a great result.
