Again, a good 20 min, we scored then dropped off!

Pasty 6 Made a couple of crucial saves, one saving Dura's back pass bacon
Leo 6 Looked lively and commited
Dura 4 One of his worst games. Back pass should have cost us. Didn't defend the back post adequately for their equaliser.
Siggy 5.5 Did well in the physical battle with Heskey, great ball for Brockie to waste
Lochie 5 A lot of good work, dampened by the yellows, led to their goal
Ifill 6 Good first half faded badly, cross set up goal
Manny 6 Much better than his recent performances, kept the acid on their midfield throughout
Fenton 5.5 Worked hard, battled well in midfield
Boyd 4.5 Litte impact, apart from tracking back. Fell over very easily.
Dani 6 Better than usual, got forward well, still lacks the killer pass.
Brockie 4 Disappointing again.
Cernak 5 Made an impact, might be a good signing
Totori 3 Stuffed up his 9 min of game time

Ref Much too whistle happy
Ball Boys Prompt as, no fights
YF Good encouragement and the banners looked great.

What do you think?

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Ifill was our best until he tired badly. Durante had a rare shocker. Sigmund was up and down. Brockie quiet, offside and fluffed shots he would normally nail.

Didn't think that Sanchez or Boyd were in the game that much. Paston needs "resting"  Not impressed by Lochhead at all or Durante for that matter. Subs were confusing with Broclie being a lazy arse and not subbed  (Waffles could have replaced him) Not sure if Totori is good enough for this level. Cernak looked okay when he came on. Ifill was good in the first half and tailed off a bit in the second, although probably still man of the match IMO

Dude you have given out marks too easily this season.

Paston - 5. His ball to get on the cross for the goal.
Leo - 5.5
Sigmund - 4.5 One day he will hold the line and focus on football rather than whinging at everything else.
Durante - 4 Stinker from the captain
Lochhead - 4 Dumb first yellow and obvious for the 2nd. He looked like the ref like he was surprised. Did he not see Gallaways 2nd?
Ifill - 6.5 Fitness it is only let down. Improves that and he will be a hell of a lot more involved
Manny - 6 Considering his season, this was not a bad performance from him and better than his previous ones.
Fenton - 5.5 Scored, experience stopped him from slotting at least 1 more
Boyd - 4 Did he play?
Sanchez - 4 Did he play?
Brockie 4 He played but for longer than he should have. Fluffed his lines, leads the league in offside. Just finish it man!

Cernak looked useful when he came on, Totori did not.

Ricki?? "Your front line in ineffectual" You have an international striker on your bench but you continue with Brockie for the full 90??

Paston 4 - poor for the goal

Bertos 6 - wasn't bad overall

Durante 4 - not great today

Siggy 6 - thought he did ok for the most part

Lochhead 3 - 2 clear bookings, made a hash of a great chance early 2nd half after doing the hard part

Muscat 5 - ok in tackles but some terrible passes that were just hoofs anywhere

Sanchez 4 - not involved enough

Fenton 5 - gets an extra point for the goal but did not do a lot else

Boyd 3 - needs to contribute more if he's to keep his place in the team

Brockie 2 - lazy git, missed some good chances and was a bit of a passenger

Ifill 6 - looked dangerous, got an assist, but let down by final ball on a few occasions, including in 2nd half when he blazed over the bar when squaring it was the option

Subs

Cernak 5 - put himself about a bit, some dodgy passes though

Totori 3 - Just when I think he's going to beat everyone and score a wonder goal...he doesn't

Ricki 1 - RESIGN!

Paston 5  - Surely should have jumped higher than Heskey, but he did save us on other occasions

Bertos 6 - One of our better and more solid players as usual, but rarely went forward.

Durante 4 - not his best day

Siggy 6 - battled

Lochhead 2 - a rabbit in the headlights

Muscat 5.5 - better than what we had before

Sanchez 5 - rarely noticed him

Fenton 5 - The goal was the first touch of his I noticed. Didnt look comfortable in that position to me.

Boyd 4 - quiet

Brockie 4 - frustrating

Ifill 7 - looked class, if a bit rusty at times

Subs

Cernak 6 - showed some promise

Totori - didnt come on

Extremely soft 2 yellows for Lochhead, but he was giving away a few fouls.
Thought Manny was great, time away has done him good (not the team though)
Brockie was woeful again.
Cernak looks promising.
If Hogg's not up to it I'm guessing Ricki will stick Manny LB and Lia in his spot. Maybe Cernak in the middle too.
Fenton was good.

I give Lochhead a 10 for doing what Ricki has been unable to in recent weeks, and that is not including himself in next weeks squad.

Brockie has been woeful for me. Does absolutely nothing off the ball. His runs arent intelligent. He is always offside.

Fenton in midfield was interesting - in a good way

thought boyd played a big part in getting their man sent off. Always attacks hard from the get go which is good. Every game this season, in the first 5 mins it is him who gets stuck in against the opposition fullback.

Totori can not be given his second year extension - i will cry

Siggy did great on Heskey all game. Also set up brockie for failed 1v1 and played the diagonal ball to Iffy which led to the goal

Siggys vision in the 'Route One' style we have played in the last two weeks has been fantastic. The cases you have mentioned, as well as the stellar through ball to Waffles at the start of the game that must not be mentioned.

So two great passes in two games and he is fantastic?

I agree Leggy. His job is to stop goals. not set them up. Maybe people have not noticed that him and Dura aren't exactly excelling at that right now.

agree with most of these although I'd be more ahrsh with Paston, a 5 keeps him in the game, he should have dominated Heskey instead he let the big fella climb over him. 4 at best.Bertos has become a good option at RB and is certainly showing Locky up, Hogg hopefully will get his chance, if he doesn't why the fuck did we sign him??? Brockin needs a stint on the bench, start cernak and Sanchez to gether I reckon together they'll unlock a lot of defences. Which will create the space that Sancez needs. Put Stein up front and let cernak put the balls to his feet.

I didn't say that he's been playing fantastic, I said his VISION was fantastic. If he can play a killer ball out from the back instead of just passing it sideways or backwards, isn't that a good thing?

Hahaha gold. Though maybe got lucky this weekend anyway since the Hogg got a niggle during the week.

 harsh on Benji and Cernak.

Benji didn't do anything wrong- beat a player at the byline, was attacking. Cernak just got more ball and wasted 3-4 attacking opportunities with poor passing and over running. Not highly impressed. Ward was better for us.

Thought Totori was ok- sure didn't score a wonder goal, but was more threatening than Boyd, and didn't have Sanchez to work with.

Also didn't think Lochy was that bad on defence. The ref was pinging him a lot for crap early on, and the second yellow was bad, but the first was soft. He had a couple of good runs forward too.

The first yellow was soft? He completely chopped down a player and got nowhere near the ball. I haven't seen a replay so I haven't seen this since it happened at the game, so feel free to say I'm wrong.

well- it being Ben Williams he was inconsistent and some incomprehensible decisions-pinging Boyd for using his body to shield the ball. It was a challenge that others had been let go on.

The second yellow for their player looked reallly weak, but I thought he should have been sent earlier for a professional foul on our rampaging winger Sigmund after he'd waltzed past him.
