A much better performance, well at least in the second half. Should have won it.

Reddy 7.5 or more A couple of top saves and calm and confident
Troy 5.5 Good first half but strangely absent second half
McKain 8 Tremendous tackles
Dura 6.5 Mostly good, combination with McKain developing again
Lochie 6 Defended well
Leo 6.5 Good second half, created great chance for Timmo
Timmo 6 Would have scored higher for some good work shuting them down, but misses on goal
Lia 6 Worked hard
Daniel 5 Never really created anything and let Alemao get away for his shot
Costa 6 Battled away
Ifill 6 Perhaps his least influential game
Caceres 8 (though maybe less because only on for 15 min) Really sparked us up
Marco little impact

Ricki good sub, though if he'd done it ten min earlier we might have won

ref too many whistles, very inconsistent in card issuing, just as well with Troy's two footed tackle

What do you think?

Reddy - 7 Good game.  Should have saved their goal.  Didn't look to be too far from him at all.  His kicks were a worry at times but otherwise was good.
McKain - 8 Very solid.
Hearfield* - 5 Played alright before disappearing.
Durante - 5.75 Didn't stand out by any means but not completely useless
Lochhead - 6 Played well.
Lia - 6 Played reasonably well, stayed out of trouble.
Brown - 5.5 Should have won it for us.
Ifill 6.5 - Ran well, tried hard.
Caceres 8 - Immediate impact.  Quality play after the goal as well.
Daniel - 4.5 Did nothing really.
Bertos - 5.5 Did nothing but fail in the first half then in the second half got better.
Barbarouses - 5.5 Should have set up a goal for us.  Few shocking passes/waited too long.
Rojas - Didn't notice him do anything at all so gets a 5 from me.

I think that's everybody.

Very happy the referee gave a freekick for his stupid two footed and high lunge.  If he hadn't then the match review committee would've been all over it.  Was unnecessary and given our recent suspensions I hope Ricki kicks him in the head for it.

Reddy 7 Didn't do much wrong. Still don't like him but opinion may change if he puts in a few more good shifts without waving his hands about and screaming after he lets in goals

Troy 5 Disgraceful on defence at times. I know he isn't *really* a right back but in the 2nd half he just gave up

McKain 8 MOM. 2nd game back and he single handedly held our defence together. Still has poor distribution but that can be forgiven

Dura 6 Poor I thought. Gave the ball away often. Has been a bit off these last few games after having a stellar season.

Lochie 6.5 Got skinned quite a few times in the first half but picked up in the 2nd with a couple of good tackles

Leo 6.5 Very, very poor first half. Great 2nd. Well done for stepping up when heads were down.

Timmo 6 Good on defence but absolutely piss poor finishing which ultimately cost us the game

Lia 5.5 Thought he was poor tonight. Adelaide seemingly had a lot of space in the middle of the park and we didn't hold possession at all. Gave away a few silly fouls too

Daniel 6 Tried hard but didn't really create much

Costa 6.5 Worked hard trying to defend from the front in the absence of Greenacre. Still has brain explosions whenever he has time on the ball - until he sorts that out he will never be a top level striker

Ifill 6 A couple of good moments but all round poor by his standards. Looks to be carrying several injuries.

Caceres 7.5 Super sub. Great work.

Marco 5 Poor first touch, never created anything and didn't do much when he had time on the ball out wide. Needs to improve, but we know that already

Bertos 1st Half - 4  Maybe because Ricki wanted him central?
Bertos 2nd half - 8 Great turns and decent deliveries

Costa wasn't too bad imo seeing as he was played out of position and in 1st half was quite isolated. Did well to make a few turns but should have released that ball earlier.

As for Brown... well, Gutted

Reddy 7 - some good saves, gives the backline much more confidence

Lochead 7- solid, getting back to how he was in season 1
Mckain 7.5- rock, some vital challenges
Durante 6.5- not bad, waiting for him to finally bang one of those headers in
Hearfield 6- not convinced yet, couldve easily been sent off

Daniel 4- not sure why ricky persists with this guy, very limited.
Brown- 6- worked hard, terrible finishing
Lia 6.5- solid.up and down at times
Leo- 7- much better second half ,sometime thinks its in his head.when he wants to be good hes very good, when hes in dreamland very disappointing.

Ifill- 7- up and down, still looks threatning
Costa 5.5- disappointing.needs to take these rare starts he gets and prove himself more

Caceras- 8- brillant,if he doesnt start next week the coach should apply for the hurricanes job
Rojas 6- didnt get much oppurtunity

Don't agree that Marco didn't get much oppourtunity - he had half an hour out there and needed to get himself involved a bit more. Obviously he is not the most confident kid on the park, but he does need to be making an impact when he comes on.

I expected him to be out wide with space to show off his skill but he didnt get a shot.
Think he's got huge potential though and liked seeing him make the bench

caceras shouldve come on before rojas no doubt.

Reddy very good, felt much more confident with him between the sticks, McKain excellent and MOM in my opinion, Durante defended reasonably well but will he ever get a header on target let alone bulge the auld onion bag? Daniel, absolute rubbish, Bertos not a lot better, he was very poor in the first half and the number of times his delivery into the box from free kicks or crosses is poor is astounding. Rojas did nothing despite having a good half hour to show something, Caceras was excellent in the time he had. Brown and Lia were both good in the Centre of the park if you ignore there finishing, but they are bot battlers who never give up. Given our record at Hindmarsh a draw is an improvement, but this is another one we should have won. The fact we have lost less games than anyone is is testament to the bottle we are showing most of the time. Although we have conceded late goals to give away a lot of points, equally we have scored a number of late goals to salvage draws.

I think i recall another time in the season where Cacras came on and had a good 10 minutes or so, started the next week and was rather absent. An impact player perhaps?

yeah i think Caceras plays better as an impact player, starting Daniel upfront was daft, it should have been ifill and costa, with Daniel and Bertos swapping wings.....was dissappointed in Brown's effort on goal, he's scored 5 from there this season but had three chances two of those were open goals and he misses all three

Many seem incapable of spelling Caceres name correctly, but this version wins first prize.

Caceres is and will always be an impact player. He see's himself as a 90 min player (obviously) and that's why he has left so many clubs. There is a reason he has never, ever been able to hold down a starting spot despite his obvious skill.

He is great when he doesn't have any defensive responsibility and he gets that freedom when he comes off the bench.

caceres to start next week, inplace of daniel but if he has a weak performance keep him as an impact player for the rest of the season.

The ratings actually say lower than that. What are you talking about!
