Mulling over the ratings on my trip home today.... one word comes to mind..... aaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhh!!!!
Hard to do the ratings too when all the replays are blocked out at the ROF, when you want to know, whose fault was that? and similar questions... still, here goes
Paston 7 a couple of very good stops
Siggy 7 Sound
Dura 7 Sound
Doddsy 6 Not as dominant, but good enough
Lochy 6 Seemed to be marking two ppl at times
Leilei 6 Most likely to make something happen in 2nd half, not wide enough in first half, maybe he was told to mark Miller
Brown 5 Not helped by O'Leary dishing out card early
McKain 6 Never had much space to work with
Kwassy 5 Had a better game, but nothing much happening
Covs 6 Kept them honest, but came to nought when it came tio the crunch
Smeltzy 6 Almost buried that overhead kick, having to track back too much to get a sniff of the ball.
Leo 6 Good impact, but shattering miss
Daniel 4 Not on long enough to do much
Ricki ?? The game plan in first half seemed to be lump it long - I thought we'd got rid of that
ref O'Leary ?? My heart always sinks when I see him reffing a NZ team, and it was same again this time.
Feel free to disagree, you might have benefit of video replays.

Paston 7 Sound performance, I can't really remember their goal as it was sh*t.
Siggy 9 Not a foot wrong.
Dura 7 Decent
Doddsy 7 See above.
Lochy 6 Out of position at times, almost got caught in 1st half.
Leilei 5 Hardly saw him in the first half, but when we started to play well it was when he saw more of the ball, that should be acknowleged.
Brown 6 Not his best game, not his worst
McKain 5 Unconvincing.
Kwassy 0 sh*t
Covs 5 Does a lot of running, gets on to hoof balls but whats the point in him getting on to it when it takes the rest of the mob a couple of minutes to get within passing range?
Smeltzy 5 Above
Leo 6 Was decent apart from the miss
Daniel 5 Couple of nice flicks. Anyone > Kwasnik (includes Moss at LM)
Ricki 4 - Hoof ball? Yawn fest.

I wouldn't disagree with you too much there, except I'd definitely give Sigmund and Dodd higher ratings. Brown should probably have an extra mark too - his workrate was very high.
I know some people were really pissed off about that loss but I didn't think we were so very bad. When I remember the appalling footballing snuff movie that was Adelaide v Phoenix just 4-5 weeks ago I think we have come a long way. A point would've been a fair reflection of the game.

Perth was worse than Adelaide for me... but agree we were the better team yesterday, just need to find a solution to the urge to wander around the box instead of shooting.

Seems to me that this "wandering in the box" was an issue last season as well, I remember being really pissy at Smetlz cos he was always trying to better his position in front of goal and would lose the ball - sadly everyone was doing it on Sunday!
I can't quite see why you don't shoot for goal, all the hard work has been done, just hit the farken thing!

Close for me. If Siggy and Durante were 7's then Dodd was at least a 7 as well. Kwasnik way too high - had a better game than??? Than me if I was playing perhaps.

Paston - 7 - Controlled his box as always, made all the saves expected of him.
Siggy - 8 - Not only was he more solid than I've ever seen he made some nice runs and I can't recall a single hoofed ball from him.
Dura - 7 - Fizzled every attack he could and seems to be very capable of running the ball upfield when he needs to
Dodd - 6.5 - Strong enough and works well alongside Andrew. Looked very confident but my dad kept pointing out just how bad his hair is and it's completely true.
Lochhead - 6 - He doesn't seem to be keeping up his ability in 1 v 1 situations and needs to drop back faster when we lose the ball.
Gao - 6.5 - Great runs, much more useful than in previous games and is pretty fine with a dead ball. Needs to bacome much more team-orientated though.
McKain - 7.5 - Has adapted well into CM and wins a lot of ball. I was also impressed with most of his passing, far better than Johnnos.
Brown - 6 - Works hard and does well alongside McKain, a shame to see his cardless run end but it lasted longer than I expected so I won't complain.
Kwasnik - 2 - Rubbish, garbage and trash all at once. Made a very feeble attempt at blocking QLD's goal and barely played a helpful ball all game. Throw in the fact that he doesn't want to even try dribbling and is as mobile as a sloth and you have our new orange-boy/bootcleaner.
Coveny - 7 - His best game this season, worked very hard and completely outclassed Smeltzy. Needs to shoot more.
Smeltz - 6.5 - Also needs to work his trigger-finger more and recieve support from the midfield. Didn't have much to work with.
Bertos - 6.5 - Injected all the spark we could want but I don't need to say what cost him a decent ranking. If he doesn't start next week I'll be very pissed off.
Daniel - 6.5 - Needs more gametime but shows good signs when he comes on.
Ricki - 6 - C'mon man this is a job that alot of people here can only dream about. Your probably paid rather nicely and the least you can do is tell the players to not start hoofing the ball the moment we're under a little pressure. Very dissapointed Kwas keeps starting.

yeah I think we played alright except for the "I'm in an alright position to shoot, but I should try and set someone/myself up to be in a perfect position..."
if we had more shots i think one of them would've gone in at least...frustrating
