Manny did struggle a lot. Think Daniel was pretty ave but Hearfield looked on to it once he was on.

sorry?? Everything he touched went bad, first touch of the game lead to the goal, and then every time he touched the ball he gave it away...he's gone downhill from late last season and he does not look like finding his best...
agree with most of the other ratings though.
Queenslander 3x a year.
Give him a 5.5 for a 'just pass' mark
That said, after the first 5 mins, I thought he added more to the team than Tim Brown did in the same position and I'd be willing (against better judgement and last year) to give him a run again next week. I think with Diego drifting in off the flank (into a more natural central position) him and Ferrante provided the link between the back 4 and the front two a lot easier and more natural than last week. Diego really showed up all over the place and like his work ethic.
IF Ricki wanted to make change for the sake of it, I could see him possibly putting Diego in that role and bringing Hearfield in on the flank or swapping Lia for Ferrante if not Manny.
Grumpy old bastard alert
Don't think we should be making any more changes than these type of choices. We wnat this side to gel more.
Maybe in a few weeks time we give someone a run at LB - but kind of gone off the idea of playing Muscat there. Maybe a good spot for Ricki to aim to strengthen next season after we dont re-sign mulligan
Muscat - 5 - got slacker as the game progressed
Lochhead - 7 - played well, pushed forward like in season 1 and showed why he's the number one (albeit only) left-back.
Durante - 6 - reasonably solid, almost looked stupid when he left the ball for Paston.
Sigmund - 7 - tidy play
McKain - 7.5 - played well, didn't shy from tackles, got stuck in and his distribution wasn't bad.
Ferrante - 5.5 - bad first 10 minutes but when he got the ball he went on good runs.
King Leonidas - 8.5 - ran at the defence a lot and that goal, wow.
Hearfield - 5 - did little but had little game time.
Lia - 5 - same as above
Daniel - 5 - same as above
Greenacre - 6.5 - did well, have high hopes for him.
Ifill - 8 - looked dangerous for a good 2/3 of the game. Scored a nice goal and showed how eager he is by tackling McKain.
I think that's everyone.
All Aboard the Phoenix/ All Whites Bandwagon!!
Muscat - 4 - Got beaten far, far too easily on countless occasions in the 2nd half by player not reknowned for..well.anything. He seems to often be a step behind the attacking player most of the time though he usually recovers well
Lochhead - 6 - Slowly coming back to being the Lochy of Season 1 but still isn't quite there - few wayward passes but finally got a couple of decent crosses in
Durante - 6.5 - Solid for most of the game - much better than last week
Siggy- 6.5 - Ditto
McKain - 7.5 - Played well but faded after 60 mins and Perth started to run a bit riot
Ferrante - 5 - Didn't think he offered enough support to McKain for most of the game and obviously he gifted the goal
Leo- 8.5 - Great game from Leo - he gets better every time he plays. Faded a bit in the 2nd half but i'll forgive him after that goal!!
Hearfield - 5 -
Daniel - 5
Greenacre - 7.5 - Good all game. Already like him a lot. Great attitude - does the gritty stuff.
Ifill - 7.5 - Looked hungry to impress - isn't here for a holiday, that's for sure. Faded in the 2nd half. Good goal.

Overall, a successful game, lucky perhaps. There are obvious places we are weak, right back, centre midfield.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

To give Ferrante a bit of a break, who ever passed the ball to him didn't do him any favours. He had two men bearing down on him as soon as it came to his feet. Admittedly he picked the wrong option by trying to turn the man - but you got to wonder if there was any call from the rest of the lads.

When I watch the replay I don't think that Ferrante was aware of Sikora and only aware of the other Perth player, Shroj? So he thought he was turning out of trouble rather than into it. The Perth players did a good job in making sure both options were closed down.
I was just talking in general terms, as I haven't seen the replay. But remember thinking at the time, go wide, don't turn in. Guess a return pass to Lochy/Paston were probably the best options.
I disagree - to me, a 'hospital pass' is when the teammate doesn't give you a fair chance of getting the ball when he should have been in the position to do so.
No way can you call a pass a hospital one if the receiver has the time to control and turn with the ball.
Considering he had plenty of time to size up the situation it was a nothing pass from Durante at best and at worst a stupid one to send to a man in a vulnerable central postion in front of goal with his back to two nearby Perth players.

Yeah, there were 5 'Nix players and 5 Perth players in our defensive third. 2 of the Perth players anticipated Durante's pass to Ferrante and were putting pressure on him, only players really open were Muscat and Paston. The easier option for Ferrante would have been to pass to Paston, but it would have had to have been a really good pass to Pastons stronger foot for the clearance. If you look at it like that, the end result would have been the same if Durante hacked it up the field but I think the intent of playing the ball out and keeping possession is good.
Also notice there has been little talk about Sterjovski's dive... bet the FFA ignore that like Culina's last week. God forbid a Socceroo pin-up boy gets done.
ive got a song that wont take long, Adelaide are rubbish.. the second verse is same as the first.. ADELAIDE ARE RUBBISH

Also ignored Robbie Fowler's Jackie Chan-like kick.
