does anyone know what day the nix would play their home playoff if they stay 4th?

Won't be Saturday as the Hurricanes have it booked.

This is way too much of a jinx.

We could still end up 2nd or 7th which means that we won't be competing in the first play-off round.

Just wait until round 26/27

Goodbye playoffs.

If we finished fourth Sunday would seem more likely as Friday wouldn't be a good time for Australian fans.

Please don't enquire about these things just yet... You should know football fans are incredibly superstitious!

don't worry, I understand the hoodoo factor in even thinking about playoffs but am an out of towner and want to lock in cheap flights/accom and maybe a bit of golf for the trip. Would have thought a date was locked in by now, just in case!!

as much as I applaud the future thinking, there is simply no way the FFA or Wellington Stadium crowd are going to arrange a game on a just in case basis.

They would not want to jinx it either.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

So... it'll be difficult to not make the play-offs from here. Would y'all rather us face Adelaide or City at this rate? (I'm optimistic we're going to finish above at least one of them)

Adelaide. Even a mediocre team like City can beat us with an in form scorer like Maclaren.

Adelaide. They looked dire against a terrible mariners team, Goodwin is a shadow of his earlier season self, they don't have a proper striker and they still have eff all defenders fit. Plus you have Kurz already been told he won't get the gig next season. I'd prefer our chances than against City. It's close though

Annual finals disappointment enthusiast.

100% Adelaide

City have a very squad, just not a good coach

Wouldn't mind either Adelaide or city in all honesty. We have nothing to fear. Yes, sharkty have McLaren, but that's about it. Adelaide are on a terrible run of form at the mo, hope it continues.

I'd happily see us play anyone from 5th down.......we've beaten them before and the way we are playing at the moment could easily beat almost anyone.
