4-2-3-1 But with Greenacre playing a more advanced role, picking up all the scraps that the targetman leaves. Diego and Bertos running the wings and Mckain Holding. Brown would have a free role to roam the midfield and spread the ball. What ya think ?

not sure if brown is good enough to'roam' the midfield or spray the ball around

I think we may move more towards a 3 - 5 - 2 formation if we get another good striker.

                                  Paston
                     Durante   Sig    McKain

Bertos               Brown     Lia               Lochead

                                  Diego

                         Greenacre    New Guy

Lochead as we know has an engine, getting up and down he will be fine, Bertos might struggle with some defensive aspects, Hearfield may be second choice ahead of Muscat for me, more attacking a player.

+1, need a #10esque player in there, but with the players in there it could work providing Diego is more central, the fullbacks push forward on attack, and Leo shows a high enough workrate to pop up on whatever flank is needed.

Muscat doesn't get forward enough.

He's nowhere near the attacking player Lochhead is.

Yep, Lochy was disappointing last season though that could have been largely due to Ricki's cautious tactics. (though no pressure from other players for his position probably contributed too)

Does it matter if a right footer played left back ?

Not ideal but no biggy.

If Bertos and the CMs support him enough I think Manny can definately play a more attacking fullback role.

Is anyone in the team except McKain, Durante and Sigmund who could be able to play as a central defender if necessary?

Any of the full backs, Tim Brown perhaps? If we sign a big, strong targetman he may be able to do it.
