I've been bemused at all the angst and worrying on this forum. You Kiwis would definitely win a World Cup for worrying/angst/anxiety if there was one.... In short, all is not lost. Get your season ticket, get to the games and let's support Rudes and the Nix. it's great having an A-League team in this town and I hope we can turn things around this year.

I'm not 100% Kiwi and exactly this comment is more typical Kiwi than most of the other 'negative' comments. Relax and hope that is not how you win games. You have constantly improve a teams and  a club and many of us are worried that is not happening. Another bad season and I will be very angst free because I don't care anymore.

100%. We've spent years being OK with being mediocre. If you spend time with Victory fans, for example, they're constantly pushing for improvements even when they win the thing. We need that mentality, and we've always needed it, and we've never gotten it.

The problem now is that we're not even mediocre - we're just plain bad. With our future on the line, of course we are moaning - it's because we care. If I didn't care I would've stopped defending the Nix on sharkty forums like 442 a long time ago.

We're pushing for goals, clean sheets and then a win!

Clearly the secret all along was to give Louie a #10 shirt.

Really curious to see how Fenton goes... his first game + goal was a massive WOW, but for obvious reasons since then its all being a little ho hum.

If he is going to play as a wide attacker I really hope we see him willing to take players on the outside and not always cut in as we started to see from him after all his injuries.

I really hope Fenton kicks on this year; he's had a torrid time of it, one of the most unlucky footballers i've seen.

Has anyone seen any write up about the Olympic game? I'm assuming that Fenton would have been at Right Wing Back?

Hey, what about this...... imagine if Fenton has the breakthrough season it looked like he could years ago...

... then.... imagine if Singh instantly dominates with his creativity taking the league by storm... and imagine if Burns hits his original Phoenix form... and Krishna hits peak game winning consistency.. and our imports are all dominant league players....

Whisper of a dream.

Whilst we havent looked good in attack so far this pre-season, the fact we are not conceding many goals
'gives me hope that maybe we can sneak a few 1-0 wins this season

2-1 Syd, sounds like a better performance than the one v WSW at least.

Max Burgess 2018 highlights vid.

23, has played 6 A league games and one brief appearance in Portugal second league.

Plenty to like here - starting CAM for Sydney United, champion of the strongest NPL. Big, strong, skilful, good touch, passing and vision, and a strong L foot. Would keep Sarpreet Singh honest.

Sounds like most A-League teams are wrapping up their pre-seasons now, think there is any chance we might play a Wel Clasico as a final warm up at the Stadium?

So are the Nix done with Preseason friendlies? Nothing seems to have been posted. Surely they should be playing TW before the National League kicks off.

Nice of the clubs to be promoting this! It would be good publicity for both clubs.

Actually, I assume its a case where the club didn't want to promote it either because Rudan doesn't want a crowd or it won't be a proper game and will involve maybe three 20 min periods and/or lots of subs etc so not much of a spectacle to have fans at.

Was wondering that too as someone asked the Nix twitter account if there was going to be live updates from the game against Victory today as well...
