Hope they come to China again. Small band of China based Nix fans will be waiting to cheer again.

I hope they put in the Pre-Season Cup again!!! I really enjoyed those games. Early games at Westpac Stadium in around June.

Hurray for general admission tickets!

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

I think the PSC is gone for good. Clubs hated it. YOu'll get 2-3 compulsory warm up games against HAL opposition, then sort the rest out with locals.

Season starts in late July from memory, but pre-season is likely to be a headf**k for you guys in particular since you'll have players who won't get a holiday until they're out of the World Cup in mid-June.

Bring Everton or another EPL team! I think if we are able to get a sell out against Newcastle people we will get a sell out against one of these teams. With careful pricing it would be financially viable

Make the f**kers travel.

I want to go somewhere else.

Like Kerikeri.

Kerikeri is nice. How about somewhere on the Coromandel? Hahei? Whangamata? Tairua? Everyone can stay at mine!
Man I can't wait till next season. After last night I just love this team more and want to get into next season!

Wouldn't mind a team being bought over.  Not English though - would be awesome having someone like Benfica come.  Unfortunately they don't have the pulling power of others.

They don't need pulling power, the Nix have it!

Yeah would be great to see a top quality opposition come over to spark some more interest

everton.....lol.

blackburn would be the most likely of realistic premier league teams to come for an obvious reason

I think if you start the preseason with a bang by getting a friendly in the stadium against relatively well known opponents then you could sell out. Just hype it up against Middlesbrough or West Brom or something. If they've made the EPL then would be easier.

Otherwise have a game before the world cup.
All Whites vs Leftovers of Nix?

Haha nix could be:
             Crowther / Gould (yes Please)
Hearfield McKain Durante  Muscat
Ifill     Lia      Diego      Daniel
        Greenacre   Dadi

And you've still got Caceres, Rojas, Ferrante (if still there?)
Plus a new signing or two? Would make for an interesting game haha

Queenstown was good, although they needed to start earlier so the game wasn't still going when the sun went down. The Ring of Fire can get cold, but it's toastie compared to what Q'town was like for most of the second half.

Well then the sunny Coromandel would be perfect for pre-season! But I'd consider flying down to Queenstown for a game!

I think you will see one in Auckland.

The management will want to get a feel for the amount of support up there to gauge whether or not a regular season game is worthwhile there or not.

Not a good idea. What happens if the AWs only won 1-0, or drew... or lost. You would have this big anti-hype just before the world cup. The general public wouldnt take too kindly to it at all

"We're hoping for at least 13 or 14 home games in Wellington [next season].

I dont get what that is supposed to mean? Hoping for 13 or 14 games in wellington,is it out of their control or something? Every game should be in wellington,so this talk of there probably being 2,but possibly being more away is a bit worrying for me. What the hell does that above statement mean?

Allegedly

Wouldn't mind an Auckland pre-season game, Have just moved to the north shore and the North Harbour stadium is not to far from where I am.

I take this to mean there will definatley be 13 games at RoF, 1 game at RoRacists and 1 game as yet undecided (because they need to deterimne if they take it to the Ring of Failed NZ-based A-League teams, will they actually make any money from it).

I hope it is 14 games at RoF and 1 at ChCh.

yea but the fact they say they are hoping for 13 implies that due to situations out of their control, there may be less. it wont happen. but it was an oddly worded statement.

Where in the statement does it make any reference to anything being outside their control?

At this stage, all that has been said is there will be 15 home games, one of which will definitely be in Christchurch.

So if they move the other game, they're chasing $$, which I doubt would help their appeal to get more members.

Membership sales come down to a value decision - 15 home games is more value than 13 home games.

A price hike on the current 13 home games for the new season, no extra home games = worse value than last season.Ard Righ2010-03-16 17:24:31

the words "hoping to get" meaning more or less home games could be dished up.

I would hate to miss a Nix "Home Away From Home" game, but really don't want to go to Christchurch any more than once every 5 or 6 years, if we're spreading the brand, don't keep going back to the same sh*thole.

I assume the number of Wellington games would be decided by how many home games we are allocated in the season, then depending on any clashes with other events ie. rugby, concerts etc at the stadium forcing games to be taken to other 'home' cities. Also the club's desire to extend the fan base throughout the country.

What about Rotorua?
I wouldn't mind playing there. Rotovegas International Stadium would be better then the Ring of Dirt. And they have terraces.
Plenty of things for away fans to do there too.

I reckon Napier would be a great place for a game. Close to Wellington, Horowhenua, Manawatu, the rest of Hawkes Bay, BOP. Wouldve been a wiser move than playing in Palmy anyway...

Napier has also been traditionally strong as far as football goes, theyve got good growth up there and i think a game would be a good way to acknowledge that. I mean Rovers play in CL after all, so id rather an away game go to a 'semi-local' location than heading straight out of town completely.
