That doesn't seem a very strong side
It's not.
more of an invitational eleven as opposed to a 'select' side...
There are Prem players or even Cap1 players that could have been picked! Having said that Craig Bailey and Billy Scott played half the season in Cap1
...and still couldn't win it.
That doesn't seem a very strong side
Doesn't matter. Phoenix putting out second string side probably.
so whats the point of the exercise then?
Compared to every other HAL side we are behind the ball here. Any friendly has to be a good thing even if its against pub teams or school kids like this one.

It'd be fair to say that pre-season friendlies in Wairarapa and Kapiti are more about fan engagement in those catchments rather than actual pre-season football.

Won't go to these games any more. Last one I went too, there wasn't any football played at all by either team. Complete waste of time.

You possibly went to a netball game, they don't play any football.

If it is NZ-based, it may well be played outside Wellington.
ROAD TRIP!!!!

The they should do better job of letting us know as they walk out who they payers are, as some are not recognisable especially the second stringers. Football is never that great but it is a game to watch.

I was disappointed about last week game, I thought it was a poor standard by the Nix, but everyone else here seems quite excited about certain players and thought it is all normal.
I hope we win
so whats the point of the exercise then?
Promoting the side in the 'regions'. Outreach to the community. Spreading joy. Low intensity game time for the squad...
Beautiful day for it! See you there.
Game is being live streamed on the Nix's Facebook page.
Fenton on the bench will be good for him to get some game time and Davila too
