My question is about the lost opportunity to create a more visible
presence via the merchandising of Wellington Phoenix shirts, T
shirts, polar fleeces,jackets, coffee mugs, mousepads,flags banners
etc at an earlier time than September! I know that this is
due to restrictions placed on the club by the FFA, but do Ricki and
Tony see this as a lost opportunity as well? I
have marketing qualifications and experience, so I know what
I'm talking about. Could there not have been a request for
dispensation from this to at least knockout some flags before the
first game at least? To have folks walking around town in
Phoenix apparel would certainly create a visual profile and create
further interest in Wellington at least but possibly nationwide
too!
Make your own banners and flags. They look better,
anyway.
