Ricki and co have said we have the best pitch in the league [despite the player rating system concluding that Suncorp is] but that was before Friday. Nothing could have been done about the amount of rain that fell [about 25mm in three hours] and nothing was wrong with it before that. Unfortunately Gold Coast have to mark down how it played - poorly.
The real damage was done by the two club rugby games played on it on Sunday but it should be fine this weekend provided it's not to wet for the rugby game on Saturday.
