It would be nice to think that the traffic congestion is due to the first Nix game of the season!

I thought Ernie had shifted away from a set back three in favour of a back two with the DM dropping in to make a three only when both the FBs have gone forward?  I thought that's what Dura had explained in the last podcast.  That line up looks too defensive for the Jets at home in the first game of the season.

Fair call. so perhaps:

                    Moss

           Siggy        Dura

Fenton         Lia             Manny

          Roly             Riera

  Krishna      WeeMac     [Sarpong/Appiah/Powell]

Excellent.

This is getting close to the old 2-3-5 formation I used to see on my 1960's bubble gum cards and Charles Buchan annuals!

Bring back the wing half!

Just bought an extra ticket from that grab one deal. I just have a quick question - the printed coupon says scan this barcode for entry but there is no barcode on the coupon. Do they mean the QR code? Has anyone had issues using grab one tickets to get into games before?

I thought exactly the same thing!

Whatever - I will get in okay - I will make sure of it!

Might be worth emailing GrabOne and the Phoenix to check up about this.

I got hold of grab one and they do mean scan the QR code, they just call it a barcode for some reason. Hopefully it works!

I would say that the request coming from 'Jeff Vader's Lover' probably closed down your communication!

So Yellow Fever will be at backbencer instead of doing the Phoenix's march to the stadium?

Don't think Yellowfever has ever really taken part in the Nix marches and Bethel Woods. Always been the Bencher.

Remember the old bubble gum cards; started my collection '69. Osgood, Tambling, Redknapp, Bonds, Moore, Peters, Hurst. Most got transferred to the back wheel of my bike. Not being picky but didn't they usually line up 3-2-5?

No, definitely 2-3-5 in the VERY old days.  Number 5 was the "Centre Half", which is an old school term that is still used by the odd commentator to describe a Centre back.  Jackie Charlton, for example was described as a Centre Half. Even Wikipedia agrees.

If anyone needs an extra ticket let me know and you can have one free. Got 2 season tickets but the other half is away this weekend and looks like all my friends are useless so one going spare at the moment. Didn't renew in time to get the cards for this week so it's a paper ticket I can just email you.
