Is this the same weekend as that Joesph Parker fight?  Guess our ratings won't be good for this game.

why watch Joseph Parker when you could see a football game AND a boxing fight with CCM and Roy O'Donavon coming to town

I phoned Ticketek today to get my tickets for Hamilton and New Plymouth. Phone was answered in less than a minute and I was on the phone for about a minute to say which tickets I wanted, confirm my email address and give my membership number. Ezy tickets were emailed to me instantly.

I then tried phoning Ticketmaster to get my ticket for the 17 December game at Mt Smart. I was stuck on hold with the most awful hold music. Lost patience as I was doing this in my lunch hour and had other stuff to do so thought I would email them at groups@ticketmaster.co.nz. Explained what game I wanted to go to, my name and membership number in my email. This was at about 1-10pm. As of now at 8-30pm, still no response.
They certainly make Ticketek look really good.

Did the same today. Got my other two tickets printed off. The two games in Auckland have a story to them. I rang and was advised that they were sent a membership list with too much information. They got back to the Nix to rectify this. They are waiting for the Nix to send them a cut down list with minimal details on fans. They also said that they were not sure where the Fever Zone was going to be located. They took my name and cell number and said they would ring me back in the next few days.

I have some flights to Hamilton for the game booked, and I can't make it anymore. Both flights on Air NZ, flight up Sat 0955 on NZ5082. Back Sunday at 1530 on NZ5017.

Cost me $271 in total, would happily sell them to someone who can actually make the game for $150 to try recoup some of my funds.

Some of you guys are offering to give a ride and I'd be up for that if it's all good. Anyone driving from Wellington? Is anyone planning on going to the pub or something that night? Not sure I wanna stay the night in Hamilton or not; depends on what the general plan for the night is.

Catching the bus up there now. $55 return on Mana Bus. Coming back after the game - leaves at 23:00 so an hour in Hamilton - probably more than I need from what I have read in the past.

Saturday night out in Hamilton is great fun.  Welli is the only city in NZ that is probably more fun at night!

Waikato Stadium is the best football/rugby ground in the country (location, view etc taken into account).  You'll regret not staying later!!!

Its the sort of ground Wellington should have had instead of the "windtunnel".

Good George would be a good location, 5-10 minute walk and that sparkling ale is quality stuff.

Seems a bit far away?

1km, not too far. The beer costs the same (maybe cheaper) than speight's house and instead of being speights, steinlager, waikato etc on tap it's good george craft beers. Also they brew a non-alcoholic ginger beer which they have on tap and is good for anyone going sober.

Don't know how many people will make it but I've taken a hopefully punt and booked tables for 25 Phoenix fans at the George from 2pm on sat. Just look for the table signs saying Phoenix or the people in yellow and black. I can't get their til 5 so I'll join in the shenanigans then.
