we are doing little on attack now.lets bring on some strikers..oh that's right we dont have any on the bench. Maybe Ridenton to liven things up.

Greenacre is on the bench. Anyway, Vince Lia!

think the crowd was announced but I missed it. Something 24. Hopefully not just 24.

Despite Finklers free kick practise sessions he has been rubbish tonight in that respect

some sort of contract extension for Lia must be on the table.

Man, why couldn't Merrick just start this team? This game seems more proof to me that him stepping aside was the right call. He couldn't see something which seemed obvious to all of us.

Great result. However, if we play like this against WSW, it will be a different story. Enjoy the win guys, but let's keep it in perspective.

Good result and just what we needed. Will put some more confidence and spark back into the side. But some nice possession football aside the Mariners were awful in that 2nd half.

That was a Ricki-esque performance. Defence a bit deeper, direct balls behind opposition FBs and lots of balls in from wider areas. CCM poor.

Did anyone catch our attendance? Before this match our average was 7,744. Just wondering if this Hamilton crowd was greater or not.

Three goals shows that we can score. CCM totally ineffective, they wish they had a coach who would step down. they showed some nice interplay upfront. Really like the young players Tratt and Parkhouse, very confident fir their first A-League season. Roly much better and Kosta finally delivers.

Clearly we had better shape.

Watson did his job well, but Barbarouses and Bonavacia were much more positively involved than they have been to date.

Still quite dissapointed with Finkler though, even his dead ball kicks are below average. Swap him out for McGlinchey and we may at least have a mid table side.

Tratt was impressive tonight.

Great game for the new guys to see! Thanks to the members who emailed Matt. If you aren't going to Auckland and you have a season pass  please send Matt your tickets for next week. Pm Yakcall

Great game that. Roly was at his absolute best, I thought. Played with a smile on his face.

Watson was terrific as well.

Still not super impressed with the Fink; I think his passing is still good, and the way he drops his shoulder to get out of tackles is impressive; but I simply don't think we can carry him and Lia. They are both very slow; which I think we can cover if we only have one of them.

CCM were sharke, but we knew that already.

CCM were rubbish but they have still got points against Perth, Adelaide and the Wanderers. If they can get points against those teams, we should be able to do likewise.

Im in Auckland so getting Nix games is great but does anyone think it hurts the Wellington crowds numbers to have home games played in other centers?

Hamiltons crowd was pretty poor  if we are honest and surely a consistent run of home games in Wellington is better than shipping the team around the country?

I think most here think the only future with the team is to build crowds in Wellington. Unfortunately Wellington is a one stadium city and there are often clashes, right now it's being re turfed so they don't have much choice.

was at the game tonight. What a great match. what it has convinced me of is that Westpac is simply the wrong stadium for the Nix. sure the crowd was small but the fans and the Yellow Fever were much closer to the field and the were alot more influential on the players. the fans tonight literally were giving the guys an extra push when they started getting tired or stopped pressuring in midfield and the players definitely seemed to notice

Deservedly took 3 points in the MVP too. Have to admit Watson is surprising me. He really adds a lot of grunt to our attack. Full-on committed and hungry to score, kind of like Matt Simon without the bug eyed insanity.
