Good view of Patrick cheering in the YF sector in Newcastle.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

like Tratt in the build up too

That was a beautiful touch by Parkhouse to set us away there

kosta has had some fire as of late. Glad to see him slot that one. Hope he keeps it up

Our lack of any kind of midfield defensively is a bit scary

Genuinely think Ridenton would be an improvement in there

Roly is a more limit player than he thinks on today's evidence

Yep, I'm really hoping Ridenton gets 20 minutes at least today.

People seem to single out Roly but he's not been any worse than Lia or Finkler today.

Our problem is the balance in midfield - there aren't obvious roles for each of them, and they seem to be aimless in how they play.

You know what could fix that ? A good coach.

Anyway, winning 1-0, not playing amazing but not playing horribly either. Not bad going forward, but pretty scary defensively.

Lucky that Newcastle badly stuffed up a few breaks/chances.

We stuffed up a few too.

Reckon Watto on in the 2nd half for Parkhouse (or Roy if he's hurt)

Kosta, finally!

Roly poor. So many stray passes. Doyle good. Kosta good. Tratt needs to connect a little more also. Lucky to be ahead, but Newcastle have been very poor at converting their chances

To stir the pot a little: if we win this then Greenie/Des will probably be named permanent coaches. So perhaps some should we hoping we lose?

thought lia was fantastic in the first half.

Newcastle created more chances than we have. They also seem to be faster overall so far. It would be interesting to see if they keep up the tempo till the end -  if they do, then our conditioning needs to be looked at.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Doyle has been good, but other than that, no one really showing too much. Looking for a much improved second half. we are only winning because the Jets have been poor especially in the attacking thir!

Would also like to comment on the (lack of) attendance for today's game, doesn't even look like 3000. I imagine somehow the FFA will pin that on us for not being marketable enough to get the fans through the turnstiles even though we're away.

Not anywhere that I've seen. There were articles earlier today saying that a decision will be made before new years and that they're in the box seat at the moment.
