5 minutes of extra? Do they just throw darts at a number to determine this? Unreal

Same old same old really, isn't it - can compete with the CCM's and Jets of the world, but hardly setting it on fire.

Sack Greenacre.

Even game and in hindsight either team could have won it.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

I want new managers... we still lack a long term winnable formation and game plan.

Parkhouse starting effectively left us with only 2 in the middle to defend and we were over run. Also we lost Watson who gives us a different edge up front and didn't look threatening for the majority of the match.

Same game! two different perspectives. End to end and trying to play football. Our vaunted players- FInkler, Kosta and Roly should be doing better in these games. Tratt and Roy our best on attack.

Agree- we should have either shut that game out or scored more. Fox news sticking the boot in. Apparently if it was 2-1 we would offer something to the competition, at 2-2 we should be cut. GGF.

We need McG back... his work rate will help us in the middle... I like Bosnich, promise a lot, deliver little. Pretty fair call... although offering the A League nothing might be a bit harsh!

Bring in A Rod for Roly if Roly is going to play deep as he covers and tracks better. We need to be more settled defensively and to hold on to the ball better.

What a strange display from us. A point gained rather than two lost because we were bloody lucky to get it.

I shudder to think what the better teams are going to do to us unless something is done about that leaky defence and non-existent midfield.

Our problem is still that midfield balance right?

Bosnich hates us.

Partly- partly he wants us to play to at least half of our potential and salaries!

Bosnich is a fudgewit, just said WPFC not offering anything to the A League. What does that make The Jets, WSW and CCM?

Our only consistently good defender this season. Tratt has been good more games than not but then apart from Tratt being ok and Rossi being great every other defender has been very disappointing.

So when is McGlinchey back? We're missing him so badly.

I think Moss playing for time near the end is pretty indicative of the team's mindset. This was a game that had to be won, and the prize was us sitting nicely in the top 6. Instead we are struggling with the same old lack of self belief. There are clearly structural issues with our formation but just once I'd like us to get right into the opposition's face and show some true grit and foam-at-the-mouth desire to WIN.

To be fair... we are there as a favour to NZF as much as anything, so we need to offer more than those teams.

And we could argue we do, through promoting Aussie youth, but what would the league lose if we folded currently... the world longest derby that no one cares about.

We need to be better, and should be better and I believe giving Greenacre and co the job till the end of the year does not send that message, but rather says, hmmm, we are happy with been a middling team, with poor crowds and underperforming players who can be confident of getting 90 minutes each week regardless of performance.

The Jets have made the finals (6th place!) once in the last 8 seasons, and not in the last 6 years. But apparently it is Wellington that offer the league nothing. Central Coast never look like winning anything, but its the Nix that offer nothing. Ridiculous.

He's trying to tell Welnix to hire his mate Rudan? Surely it's a bit odd having a coach who's been connected with the job as a commentator?

I mean what Bosnich said was we don't deserve to be in the A-League based on our performance, but then goes on to say we've got all these good players and aren't doing anything, so he's directly talking about our management staff.

Rudan was fine... I don't think anything he said was out of line.

Bosnich thinks we were poor and continue to be so, does anyone actually disagree with this?

Would Lia start in any other A League team currently?

Roly and Finkler probably, but Lia??? but he plays nearly 90 every week. This is a huge concern in terms of quality and depth.

Well A-Rod appears to be injured? Hasn't been in the squad for a few weeks. A-League squads always have weak positions, I think Lia would be in the game squad in most teams.

I don't disagree, he seemed more overtly annoyed with us than other commentators.

Our place in the A league is under threat, comparing ourselves to CCM and the Jets is not good enough, It is an Australian league they will always get more sympathy from commentators and theFFA, we need to be challenging for a top 4 spot. The reality is that the bar is higher for us than other teams. The

Bosnich. Pure hate speech. He is an idiot. No reason to start 'why are they in A-league' discussion. He is bully.

How long have we been saying that? So what do we do - drop Watto and revert to the same blunt as a nudger formation. There was some diabolical defending and piss poor finishing in that game from both sides.  Im surprised that the caretakers offered us another dose of the same old same old tonight.

I watched everything he said and I think it is a bit more than this.

He did make the inflammatory comment asking, what did we offer the league?

But the thrust of his comments were- where was the team that was pushing for the top 4 that the 'Nix were just a short time ago? Sure there's no Burns, but there is Kosta, Finkler, Krishna, Bonevacia.. Where is the drive to win? Where is that hunger to win football games with style?

He also said- Ernie resigned for this? He fell on his sword to try and give the squad some momentum, but that this was pathetic given that. So while he did question what the 'Nix were bringing to the league- I think the thrust of his thoughts are what we are thinking- why aren't we dominating teams and scoring brilliant goals?

I'm glad they asked him to elaborate and I wonder if it was rehearsed. He's saying be ambitious and with a new coach to be announced that's where our ambition should lie

I would like to see that side too.  As Siggy always says you gotta die for the shirt.
